    Fantastic stage.

Agreed. I think "the win of the century" particularly caught my attention :D

He's become unbearable in a totally different way to Kirby.

Fuglsang takes a huge hit: 70 seconds or more.

Stupid woman leaning over the barriers, no face mask, screaming at Sagan.

Reminds me of that stage in Tirreno–Adriatico that Sagan won a number of years ago.

It goes to show that you don't need big mountains to make a difference, just terrain that is hard to control and some sharp climbs.

Sagan has done it before in PR.

Still, given the season he's had.

    Very good stage that.

Sagan benefitting from the transfer to Fuglsang of the jinx resulting from me serially picking him for PTP.

I helped him out on that front too.

Yep, think I've gone for Sagan last 3/4 stages or so. Until today, obviously.

He's a bit irritating. His pronunciation of FDJ grinds on me every time I hear it!

    Because he pronounces it correctly?
  • Hatch is good, in my opinion probably the best, but it does grate slightly when he hams it up. It's probably for the benefit of the social media clip or Wiggins podcast but it does sometimes seem slightly OTT

Chasey should sub in for Ridge and make his picks for the rest of the Giro! 😜

Cats and dogs playing cards, monkeys running barber shops, PTP carnage, pure chaos in the streets! Scenes as have never been seen before!

How long has the Giro had a combativity, breakway and sprints classification?

Combativity since 2001. Bizarrely it has been won twice by Mark Cavendish
The Breakaway Award (The Pinarello Fugue Award) since 2002.
I think the Intermediate Sprints competition is quite old.

There's a reduced points competition (Azzuri d'Italia) which awards just the top three on a stage which started in 2001.

There's also the Bonacossa Trophy for the most beautiful feat of the race and Vincenzo Torriani Trophy for the winner of the stage which has the Cimi Coppi climb in it.

Thanks. I never noticed them. I like the idea of a combativity jersey.

Incidentally, that was an awesome ride from Pozzovivo to not only recover from that untimely mechanical, but subsequently attack the group of favourites as well.
