    So Mr "Happy Engels has no idea why Jumbo pulled the team out. :o

    Talking of Happy, Brian Smith is putting a really downer on things today.

    Riders who have tested positive Covid will not be going home to the families and I am pretty sure that should the race get to Milan, riders will not be rushing off without being given the all clear.

    The wall of Chieti did a lot more damage to the peloton that Covid.
    Doesn't bode well for when they hit those ramps at the back end of the stage.

    Could someone who has been following closely let me know what is happening? The break (including Sagan) is managing to hold off the whole FDJ team. Why is the rest of the break bothering?

    The break wanted to stay away - Sagan was doing his bit so I guess the rest (apart from 2-3 that got dropped or sat up) wanted to stay away too - Sagan has the most to gain but they can all win the stage.

    What am I missing with the break here then? I've only just switched on and less than 5 minutes doesn't seem that insurmountable. Is it just a huge group?
