Kirby absolutely ruins everything with his inane drivel. Really does spoil the spectacle, he needs to just be quiet for a few seconds every now and again, that would be an improvement.

Sorry, I know it's a boring topic but it really is frustrating hearing Stephens trying to get a sensible word in and having to wait until Kirby takes a breath once every 5 minutes.

Preaching to the choir my friend, he’s abysmal - I literally won’t watch it if he’s on.

Dumoulin kicking off about the descent that did for so many big names today.
  • NOS.

His leader Primoz Roglic was also involved in a crash. The Slovenian apparently rode to the finish without any problems, but stumbled off his bike. According to sports director Grischa Niermann, Roglic has been hit harder than expected. The question is whether he will leave for the final stage on Sunday.

As I commented yesterday Stephens just completely contradicted Kirby, Kirby was on about Roglic going on the front himself which was obviously rubbish because there were 2 yellow jerseys there and it was Kuss.

Kirby is an embarrassment to Eurosport and they should drop him. Stephens and a more recent ex pro would do a better job. Useless.

Roglic might not start tomorrow. Finished the stage after his crash and didn’t feel well.

You do wonder when cycling is going to start doing proper head injury assessments.

Pinot in yellow, and a tight race behind.
Just shows, never give up hope.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I'll extend the deadline by 30 minutes if anyone wants to change PTP from Roglic today... given I have only just seen this!

He will probably crack under the weight of expectation.

    Indeed.

Looks as if Dumoulin is trying to salvage Jumbo's GC grip.
Currently Lutsenko, Sivakov, Alaphilippe, Dumoulin, Kuss, Bardet, De la Cruz and Pogacar have opened a small gap on the Col de Romme.

A pity the second half of the stage is naf compared to the first half.

Nobody took up on it anyway...
  • Quite a surprise.

Mikel Landa (Bahrain-McLaren) has been dropped: +2'40''

Alaphilippe and Sivakov hold a slender 1 minute lead.

That’s going to be sore in the morning.

But it’s another head impact with no apparent assessment.

How can you carry that out though?

Kirby & Stephens going on about it but didn't look too horrible to me. Lost it crossing a damp white line.

Biggest bruise will be to the ego.

    Allaphillipe waiting/Sivakov powering back up

I honestly don’t know. But that was quite an impact and as a sport we just ignore it.

I don’t know what the answer is but Roglic shouldn’t have been back on the bike yesterday.

When Roglic went out the dominating train went with him and now it's every man for himself.

Last summer in the cricket, they proudly carried out the new concussion protocol and took Smith off the field. He passed the fancy new test and went back out to play. I doubt anyone who watched him play afterwards thought he should have passed. He was quite clearly concussed.

My conclusion was that it is not that easy to come up with a magic test.
