"Honours" have no place in a modern democracy and should be scrapped along with the house of Lords and Royal family

Not unpopular but I suspect what you replace the lords with might be.

I think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most stupid people to ever be elected to the US congress.

That's quite a high bar. Even now there's Louie Gohmert and Thomas Massie.

And the guy who never noticed all the abuse when coach of a wrestling team.
She still wins for me. People are talking about her being President in the future. It's quite incredible.
Louie Gohmert just tested positive for coronavirus, and went into the office to tell his staff in person.

It's a toss up between this and some of Ugo's opinions to win the thread.

Surely it depends what that hand sign is at the end of Rick's post?

Is there any opinion of ricks that you wouldn’t trust over everyone else’s.

Dirty Harry is the first brown suit wearer that springs to mind. I'm not sure Rick is using him as his example.

In fairness I did set the thread up.

There’s a seriously nice one in Massimo Dutti but it’s far too £££, unlikely to fit and I’d have to spend the same again ££& to make it looks lit.

If I was a rich w@nker as opposed to just a w@nker I’d have quite a few ones in all sorts of colours and fabrics.

Not a fan of the 70s suit not gonna lie, so no Dirty Harry for me.

Mind you, brown suits might make a change from all the royal blue ones that became popular.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Not sure why anyone would want to spend money on a suit...
Last interview in 2015 I wasn't even wearing one, I got the job anyway

Horses for courses isn't it? I wear one for office based meetings with Clients but not for site meetings where I might end up trudging through a building site.

If I was being interviewed for a professional services job I would wear a suit, if I was being interviewed for a lecturer's job I'd wear crumpled trousers and a tweed jacket with elbow patches.

    LOL...

yes, the latter, but I just wore a pair of trousers and a shirt, it was July... I gambled on the fact that I wouldn't want to work in a place where they'd want me to interview in a suit...
I haven't owned a suit in a long time... I got married in 2013 in my dad's suit... the one he got married in 1965... if that's not recycling, I don't know what is...

I'm not sure it's good etiquette to point your gun directly at your colleagues upper body or head.

One for the things that annoy thread. Badly conceived scenes or Prop use.

Is it possible to wear a brown suit and not look like an employee of a certain parcel delivery company?

You could also look like beardy college lecturer or Mr Bean?

Yes, it's also possible to look like a shambolic lawyer, social worker, history teacher or private detective.

But it is best if the suit doesn't fit and the @rse is hanging out of the trousers.

What do you do for a living?

We would frown upon a prospective trainee turning up in only smart trousers, shirt and a sports jacket (in American terms).

Round here it seems to be bizarrely unpopular that they’re digging up the pavement to install hyper fast broadband for the whole neighbourhood. I mean, the option for a gigabit connection is 👌🏻👌🏻

People losing their minds over a few days of inconvenience.
