The aesthetics might take a while to get used to, but I can't deny that being able to change my name is quite welcome. The old one was basically chosen as nobody else was likely to have already used it - I never expected to actually post anything...

Anyway, consider me the artist formerly known as underlayunderlay.

Can you put that in your signature or something, this is going to be really confusing!

I might change mine as well, it's from a Hotmail account I set up when I was 14 and is a holdover from the old MBUK forum which I joined around the same time...

Yeah would be nice if those changing their name could have the old one in their signature for at least a while.

Wait, what? How do you change your name? I can't find any option for that under edit profile...

PS. You'll always be Mr Carpetbottom to me.

Go to the front Bikeradar page. Look for the My Account tab in top right. Choose Settings from drop down menu.
    Cheers.

It was a typo when I signed up. It's been there for nearly a decade and the No Ta Doc sort of fitted as well.

You see, FF had 29,999 posts. It was 30k but some threads got lost after the big girls thread got culled. I was thinking for a moment FF had come back to top the post count back up.

It's causing an identity crisis this new thing...

Orraloon has had to re-evaluate NotADoc's l entire contribution

Carpet Man is no longer Carpet Man....

I just assumed you were a doctor in the regular army as opposed to the Territorial Army.

How on earth can you change your username? I need to get rid of these capitals.

Yeah, good shout. I'll leave it in for a while, not least as it's confusing me.

This is like playing computer games, isn't it - where the first action in any multiplayer game is to shoot your teammate to a) find out if you can, b) find out what the rules are, and c) because you know damn well they were about to do it to you. We're currently finding what bollocks we're allowed to get away with.

    Edit: Ooh. Mild profanity unlocked...

This calls for the George Carlin test:

20p for the swearbox, piss, 20p for the swearbox, 20p for the swearbox, cocksucker, 20p for the swearbox, and tits

Edit: Wow!That's not going to last long. I'm not doing the Tarantino test.
Sorry editors, but I'm here to find weak points in the system.
Turns out they've turned on the moderation for swearing, although this provides a handy list of what is still "acceptable"...
