This is a complete farce. What is the point? Either make it look like a race or don't bother. Might as well just add a neutralised lap of the final circuit at the beginning and roll out from there.

    Bike change for Bernal.

Might want the one with stabilisers now.

The whole of Ineos off the back and peloton stretched out two abreast. Could be trouble

It's the same every year so why are you watching. Go and do something less farcical.

It's been like this as long as I've watched other than 1989. It's good to have the chance to celebrate getting to the end before a flat out one hour crit to finish.

Exactly. You can see how much the riders are enjoying it. Having a chat and a laugh. Then we have a little race. What's not to like?

  • Reminds me of how every single year people are shocked and appalled that Jools Holland's Hootenanny is recorded earlier in the year.

    Wow, that's embarrassing!

In other news, from the Inner Ring.
Last Tour of Jean-Maurice Ooghe. "Who?" you might ask. He's been the director in charge of the TV images for 23 years, spends weeks in winter and spring travelling around France to map the castles, valleys, rock formations etc so they can be showcased on the Tour's route

Wiggins has definitely had a couple of sherberts!

Sometimes it seems to me Kingston Wheelers could fill Paris with their numbers.

Has someone told Kwiatkowski that last one to the finish has to buy the drinks?
He's been like Rip van Winkle for the past 3 weeks.

    Compulsory arty farty photo.
