    is it just me or do the crowds at the summits seem a bit thin and low-key? is it because the moto riders clear them out of the road now?
    I miss the madness a bit, the baying hordes, the flares etc.

    Three weeks ago, if you'd said Yates, Bardet and Quintana would cross Izoard first, I'd have compiled a narrative of a nasty crash for G in week 1, Pinot underperforming as usual and the absence of Froome opening the Tour up.
