tiredness? Never a good sign when you start crashing although the road did go round a bend.

That was a weird crash, almost like his front wheel tucked in. Are those Pinarellos that twitchy?

I thought he was trying to emulate the Sagan back wheel flick, but with the front one, and keeping it on the ground whilst cornering near a kerb. It nearly worked ;-)

Right, time to bail from work as nobody's turned up for my meeting.

At least Fuglsang's had an amazing year and can seek comfort from that: but in PTP his previous counts for nowt and he leaves me with nothing. I bet he didn't even give that one moments consideration when he crashed. Selfish.

Didn't panic when Sagan etc came around to take position for the final bends, great riding by Ewan.

Bad bad bad. Just goes to show even on these stages you have to be alert, esp. when everyone is dog tired on a dog day.

    30th Buchmann

Anyone would think they were trying to keep a close eye on each other? ;-)

    Alaphilippe beat them all.

At the other end of the spectrum, Bardet loses 19 seconds but no sign yet of Quintana and Gaudu and that's at at 50"

Edit: Kreuziger and Quintana at 1'-02".

Indeed he did. But I've discounted him from the GC battle now. Unless he springs a huge surprise tomorrow.

These Ineos boys really need to learn the basics before messing about with party tricks like riding one handed

When Ewan keeps his wheel down damn he's quick, from far back too.

Thomas lucky he didn't do more damage.

Yeah, Sagan not happy. I can't see what else the CPA can do though apart from making sure water is available throughout the final stages.

He would say that scared of not making the cut ... They should increase the cut off percentage.maybe?

Yeah they normally allow a bit for more time in extreme circumstances. I can't see how they will be too strict if they want a good lineup for the sprint at the end of the Tour.

I can't see they will cut the stage lengths?

Groenewegen, Viviani and Sagan all have teammates in the top six in GC. Their teams probably aren't getting the rest that Ewan's are.
