Would have been good to get someone not from the DB factory. Even better if it had been a non Brit for some perspective.

Perspective from a foreign pundit? Good luck with that.
I'm sure the French race chat is very objective.
The Dutch or Belgian race chat is better but still nationally biased.

The could turn out to be a pretty slow procession. The break is already taking things easy and the bidon count is going to be sky high.

    Yup.
No one to blame but himself there.

    Wasn't that the Gruber's?

Mr Gruber is now working for EF, he's all over Instagram and such instead, but obviously it's very pink heavy.

Thomas crashes again. Back on the bike though.

Edit: Nevermind. My feed is delayed. Going to hop on the bike now myself. Hope I manage to not do a "Geraint".

I agree - it's boring. All the talk is about Ineos / British Cycling set-up / other British riders.
A French rider or pundit with some insight into Pinot / Alaphilippe / the French cycling scene would have been a lot more interesting.

Trouble is that the average ITV viewer isn't as clued up on the BC set up as forum folk.

I don't actually mind it. I think that when they're in the studio you get more interesting insights than you would with a more formal interview situation, I thought Ben Swift was fairly good value the other week

I mean, you can always flip over to Eurosport. No Ineos / British Cycling set-up / other British riders on the punditry team there. (Don't think Brian Smith has anything to do with the current setup does he?)

But you do have Kirby so...

We're approaching the potential crosswind section and the entire DQS team are sat in the last quarter of the bunch. If they move up I might get excited but I feel like that's an indication that nothing will happen

They've been talking up the crosswinds all day, I'm convinced nothing will happen.

Just walked the 50m from my car, which is showing 35 degrees, to the services. I can't imagine racing it that heat. I'm hoping it cools down by 6pm as I've got a 13 mile run to do!

No. It's not running weather. I got out early to practice kicks and sprints at my rugby club - 24 degrees was enough for me and I was only out for an hour

tiredness? Never a good sign when you start crashing although the road did go round a bend.

Enough wind to make everybody a bit nervous, but not to attack.

That was a weird crash, almost like his front wheel tucked in. Are those Pinarellos that twitchy?

Shows how exciting this stage when the only couple of posts are talking about something that happened 2 hours ago!

Whole Astana team stopped, it's the same side as his crash early doors, he's back on his feet but looking dazed and has had his helmet removed.. this could be game over
