Alice Barnes decides to stop the mucking about and rips the quartet to bits (unseen by the cameras) to seal the double.

first time since Emma Pooley did the double in 2010, who grew up in Norwich of course.

Alex Howes (EF Education First) is the US champion beating a 4th tier rider and Knoxville local Stephen Basset (First Internet Bank) into second with Neilson Powless (Jumbo-Visma) 3rd.

Streamed coverage much better than the UK's

No surprise. Steamed is generally healthier then fried.

i wonder why lizzie d didn't ride. it sounds like she could've rolled up on junior gearing then rode off from the rest whenever she chose to

shes down to ride the Giro Rosa which starts Friday (follow the race via coverage from Trek/Voxwomen here https://racing.trekbikes.com/girorosa )

and she was scheduled to have a break after the Womens tour,as that was her first proper stage race for 2 years I think, ok arguably the Tour de Yorkshire is a stage race as well but I think they treat that as just two 1 day rides back to back :) but it was her first real break after coming back to racing, so I can understand why she didnt do it, there are bigger goals this year, and wasnt much to gain from riding nationals, its more travelling, needs more recovery etc etc.
