Those two up front are seriously motoring as everyone else behind is working well together.

Exactly to all of the above.
Madouas was up there in the big Ardennes classics, too.
He'll be up by 4 minutes.
Gap heading towards the 8 minute mark.

    Keeps it interesting though.

This Giro is in desperate need of a proper GC stage and ITT aside, there isn't one for another week.

makes the race nervous and dangerous too. No one knows where they are and gets settled...it's a different kind of thing. Bit hard on the riders too. Hard racing but without the spectacle

UAE strong enough to control the race on Jumbo's behalf I guess. So not bad. But a lot of loose cannons in the top ten

Sam Oomen finished 9th on GC last year, while working for Uncle Tom, just 14 minutes back in a race that had THAT stage in it.
Then there is Amador. If he can turn the clock back to 2015....

I am watching S4C (BBC Wales) and their Giro coverage which is the race feed. So why cant this programme be on BBC 1/2/4?

i'd guess because Eurosport own the english-language rights to broadcast in the UK

You are correct, Sky let S4c show Wales football matches because it is broadcast in a "foreign language"

So WTF did Roglic's lot allow that to happen... I mean I get not wanting to carry the jersey but nearly 5.5 mins?? Weird as hell.

    - Roglic in discomfort after a crash, so his team take it relatively easy
    - Good quality break, but no real GC threats
    - Long stage

All the ingredients for a decent time gap. Jumbo won't be bothered in the slightest at 5 mins.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
