Surely quite a big deal? Jumbo Visma are a solid GT squad so can offer him a lot of support.
Not sure Roglic would agree with that statement
I think they can if you're Dutch!
Just because they didnt give Roglic enough at the giro - they have got at least one very good GT team in the squad. And didnt they lose 2 in the build up to injury or something.
Possibly wrong thread, but Renshaw retiring at the end of the season. Best pilot of all time?
made it look easy to be fair.
Maybe this would be a dignified time for Cavendish to follow suit. Not that I'd be particularly happy about seeing him go but it would be easier than watching him struggle to compete on stage where he should be winning comfortably
Renshaw and Cavendish together at their peak was a thing of beauty - he saved Cavendish so much mental effort in the last km or so. That famous finish and photo on the Champs with both of them with their hands in the air came about because Renshaw took the perfect line and Garmin... didn't.
Think he needs a season fully virus free before he will make that decision.
Agreed. Was talking about this today, he could generally probably level tdf victorys by nicking breakaway stages for a couple of years. However I don’t think he want that.
If you type in Best Cycling Lead Out into Google, eight of the top ten are about Renshaw. His Wikipedia page is fourth pick.
Fabio Sabatini rightfully gets a nod. Gianni Lombardi defined the role in its modern sense. Marco Velo and Danilo Hondo developed it. Tom Veelers with Koen de Kort changed the game (the second last man - Eisel for Cavendish - is the most underrated role in cycling)
But if you're picking your all time dream squad Renshaw is in.

That second to last man role, when performed properly, can be an absolutely beautiful sight to behold. Re-watched the 2009 massacre of Garmin on the Champs Elysees and although Renshaw picks the line around the corner, Hincapie completely buried them and made life much easier for the Marks

Good move by both parties it sounds like. Get him locked down before he wins another rainbow in Autumn

Meanwhile the money saving will make room to sign Guilliame Martin and help with the move to World Tour

He'll either be at Cofidis or FdJ next year.

Yeah?
Bennett is going to clean up next year
Excellent move for him. He was born in Belgium too. (His father was a pro footballer there)
I think Bennett will go great guns next year.
Edit, Cofidis next year... for Viviani. they must be paying him well....
Cataldo to Movistar
Masnada to CCC or Astana. Ciro's tweet was slightly confusing
