    Andreas Kron, just turned 23 and riding for the Rubbish Lotto took his 2nd win of the season yesterday in the Tour de Suisse. Rui Costa beat him in the 2 up sprint, but was relegated for deviation from his line.

    Dunno, I'm terrible at recognising faces. It's Rolf Sørensen and Dennis Ritter leading the peloton though.

    Pretty much. They rode the double Ventoux climb the other day. I don't think they enjoyed it much.

    Early warning, I think there may be more on the way. 17 Yr old Carl-Frederik Bévort just did the TT & Road race double in the Danish jnrs. Might be worth remembering the name.

    Oh for sure! Just an impressive weekend for the lad, who's the cream of the current youth crop so thought you'd all be happy to know his name when he makes it :wink:

    Generally, very proud of the team, recognition that England were better on the night, discussion that the high energy football Denmark have been playing couldn't be sustained (especially after playing in the heat of Baku), disappointment, not entirely happy with the ref and the penalty.

    Thanks. Always interesting to hear how things are reported by the other side. I often read forums of other fan groups after a game, but obviously a bit more of struggle with international fixtures due to language.

    Trek are quietly building a longship full of young Danish talent. Asbjørn Hellemose joins them as stagiare with a 2 Yr contract for 22,23. That makes 6.

    He's a highly regarded prospect, a climber with a decent TT who's been riding for a small Italian outfit.

    No Viking tour wins this year, but Vingegaard 2nd on GC and four Danes in the top 10 of the second TT looks very nice for Le Grande Depart Copenhagen next year :)

    Should probably have updated this earlier, but getting a bit blasé now.
    3 stages in the Vuelta for Magnus the Magnificent, now holds the Danish record for GT stage wins.
    Andreas Kron has been quietly impressive as well with 3 top tens. He's trying to make the Danish world's team, but there's some serious competition, even with 8 places this year. In his favour is that he'd be happy with a domestique position, in a team packed with riders that might fancy their own chances.

    Glad it's not me that has to pick. Pretty much everyone there has a good argument as to why they should make the cut. I'd be tempted by Mørkøv for experience, Chris Juul-Jensen as workhorse and then maybe SKA as an extra threat.

    It's a good question. The Qhubeka years were pretty poor for him and he hasn't torn any trees up this season at EF. But he's got racecraft and experience and the terrain suits him, so possibly a gamble on finding form or him being useful to the team.

    The big problem for Denmark will be that as one of the teams with 8 riders they'll be expected to do the donkey work, I don't think they're entirely used to that. They might think someone like Valgren is just about low key enough to sneak into the early break
