They're taking it fairly easy o the descent, pretty much neutralized each other.

Yeah, they're playing it as cagey as possible.

Si Clarke made the top 10, good job Kirby wasn't commentating as he would have had a seizure.

Thought Kwiato might have got a second there.

Good ride by Van Aert, that's a pretty heavyweight top 10 to be in.

He's starting to build a pretty impressive palmares. Must be a big favourite to take LBL as well this year.

    Yeah.

7 mans teams and long long courses make for chaotic finales who knew

Fastest ever speed up the poggio.

Seems like a slowe cipressa makes for a more explosive poggio.

Anyone have a view on the smaller 7 man teams and how they impact the tactics??

Seems much harder to control now...

You don't think Quickstep controlled the race? If they wanted Viviani to win they probably managed that too.

I think QS had about as much control of that race as is possible, but in the end that sprint was won by the fastest man there.

Race won by strongest man after multiple classics winning duo of teammates shreds lead group shocker.
I don’t get the adoration for MSR. I tuned in to watch the last 15 minutes of chaos and excitement after nearly 7 hours of racing and don’t feel remotely as though I’ve cheated the race out of the attention it deserves. Only 5 pages here and no mention of MSR viewing drinks menu, either...

You need the preceding 7 hours to set up the finale though.

If the race started at the Cipressa it would be a very different race!
