Not much of a spoiler. Was it PN he pulled out of too? Needs more racing miles in his legs to do well here.0
-
A bit of me still suspects this is just Cavendish attempting his annual MSR sand-bagging in which he assures everyone he's not thinking about winning the thing...0
-
It might be hard to win it if you aren’t on the start line.0

It looks like sky wrote down their team, then realised how pointless it would be to even show up with that and gave Kwiatkowski a shout."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

With so many possible winners I think it’s rare to see such in odds on favorite, so the question is how dies Alaphilippe win it? There’s a Stella field of sprinters so he’s got to do a Nibali, but there must be people who can go with him. Can he outsprint Sagan? He was third of the three the other year wasn’t he? His sprint is possibly better than Kwai these days .0

I think an attack like Nibali's last year will very rarely stick, and I just can't see him getting the better of Bennett, Viviani, Gaviria, Ewan in a sprint. Then again, he is in the shape of his life so you never know.
Surprised at how highly rated Sagan is because he looks well below his best so far.0 -

Odds are pretty close at the top and not that short either. Sagan around 9/2, Viviani 11/2 or 5/1, Alaphillippe and Ewan around 13/2 (alaphillippe slightly shorter at some places).
Looks pretty open to me.

Is Sagan in any type of form? He was very off the pace last week0

Feel like I've just awakened from a coma. Have I missed that much that we're already at MSR? This year is going way too fast0

I can't really see where they are coming from with a few of these and some strange omissions."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Well it's just his opinion. But all I'm saying is it looks pretty open, Alaphillippe seems to be favourite but not massively so.0

Just watching de kleedkamer special on MSR - focus on the 1985 - to get myself revved up.
If anyone is complaining it’s boring before they get to the poggio I’m going to rescind your cycling fan licence.
On a day like today it does feel like the transition from winter to spring.
Also, the annual reminder that distance also make selections - of the best kind.0 -

6 day racing is wonderful for keeping Kirby quiet on the road.
Thank you Manchester.
I've slept through the last 50kms.
