How can they take the blood out before the testers get to him? Aren't they chaperoned immediately after they finish?

    Blood bag code names!!!!!

Oh man, I’ve come over all nostalgic....
Are they going to release them so we can present wildly inaccurate guesses as facts again?

Since 'name of your first pet' was done by Fuentes this one will be 'mother's maiden name'

How about the names of the Von Trapps?

A good codename system would be to use the names of other cyclists. No-one's going to come looking for Denifl and Preidler if their bags are marked up 'Dumoulin' and 'Froome'

Does Contador get his 2017 Vuelta stage 17 victory handed to him then? Ahahahahaha

Froome already handed him his farewell stage victory

Normally riders who are conspicuously quiet after the scandal breaks, no?

And where is the Austrian connection?

Well, it could also be those pesky French wildcards...

And Sagan far too close for the UCI’s comfort.

Still think it’s wawa on his team giant days?

I have a hunch based on nothing that a certain bearded rider is involved

21 athletes over 5 sports is not gonna blow up cycling unless it’s a mega big scalp.

    Hawaii = triathlon?

I didn't realise blood doping made you more aero. They do believe anything though.

Three of the sports are winter sports. Probably Cross-Skiing, Biathlon and maybe Speed Skating

I can think of one Austrian former cyclist, with a history of blood doping, who has transformed himself into a successful triathlete and has managed a top 10 finish at Hawaii Ironman. I'm sure he's not daft enough to get caught again...

The Swiss NZZ is a little more forthcoming than Euronews https://www.nzz.ch/sport/operation-aderlass-so-funktionierte-das-erfurter-dopingnetzwerk-ld.1468834. They say that the names of 21 athletes are known, 20 professional, one semi-pro. This number is expected to increase. Also that a triathlete, competing in Hawaii, was/is a long term client of Dr 'S'. It’s also claimed that they are not naming the 21, for tactical reasons, as some don't know that they've been rumbled yet.

'S' and his non-medically trained assistants were 'learning by doing', and they give a couple of stories were the athlete was 'lucky' after unfortunate side effects. All for 4,000 to 12,000 Euro per year.

Looks like the Dr (Mark Schmidt) being investigated has been at it a while since Hondo of all people has been caught up in it.

Hondo says "there is no professional future for me in cycling....especially as I am a repeat offender."

    Who is Hondo?

I thought Hondo was a basketball player for the Boston Celtics?

He used to be lead out for Petacchi in his later years. He was really good at it.
