I'm talking about the stats for leaders.

I know, but it's interesting given the inverse relationship (in comparison with Labour) for female MPs and ethnic minorities... it's genuinely curious why Tories have a good record for the leader compared with their rank & file MP ratio, and Labour is conversely poor on the same measure, especially given the number of female & ethnic minority MPs they have.

Fair point, it does seem a bit odd.

So do you think that their gender was a factor in their performance as leaders?

It's Cake Stop, surely I'm allowed to ridicule data presentation? Isn't that what we're here for?

Just sorry it wasn't a graph with no labels on either axis, and no explanation as to why it explained everything.

No. It was their politics and inability

As you're not a data scientist, it is understandable that you'd forget those extras.

Good, I didn't think you'd be that stupid. It would appear that was also the case for the people who elected her.

We agree. The Conservative Party membership will happily vote for a woman regardless of their ability.

Wrong.

OK. Turnout and dwindling membership may suggest they are unhappy

I assume you're talking about Labour given recent polls showing that they are now less popular than the Tories. And that was before Badenoch was elected as Tory leader.

Only one poll that matters, right?

Wrong

What, the poll is wrong?
"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
No, just it's an opinion poll not an actual electoral poll. And one that is at least 4 1/2 years ahead of the next one.

I know what sort of poll it is, don't worry. Unfortunately it will be a while before we can get shot of this shower, but it does show how quickly they have squandered their political capital.

Wrong

Thanks for your convincing, well reasoned argument.

You're, as always, very welcome

I swear you will support anything whatsoever with a blue and white logo.

It might have dispelled the 'nasty' epithet a bit better had she just celebrated the first female Chancellor of the Exchequer, in the same way others rightly celebrated the first black party leader. But no, she's graceless to the core. She'll unravel if she can't change her tune. I won't be holding my breath.

Not sure Thatcher got too excited about any firsts for women and that's her hero.

Don’t worry after a panning by her critics she’ll say she didn't mean it like that. Queen of the backpedal.

You sure about that?

Incredible that 2.9 million people would have been a member of a political party

Don't get the SNP confused with Scotland. That's what they want you to do.
