For comedy value, given his recent stirring, Henault. ;)

Dan Martin takes the super combatif award for this year. Well deserved imo.

French exchange student not taking it seriously, starting on a road bike with TT add ons.

Bernal 20" down at first check point.

French seem to be a little more friendly toward Froome now he's not winning.

I preferred the road painting when it was harmless banter like "Cav + Bernie 4eva"

I have that tattooed. My proudest moment.

Bardet’s bicycle has normal brakes in sensible places. Do they make TT bikes like that any more?

Yes he is, he is riding a Factor One with disc wheel and TT bars.
The Factor Slick is the team TT bike, look at what Latour is riding.

OK, but it has a TT bar set up at least. But I concede, he does look a bit like a triathlete on that bike

Kwiato's time is about to get hammered, Jungels 3s up at C2, I expect Roglic to be even faster.

    Landa having a bad ride.

It is obviously what suits him best, considering his poor showings in previous ITT's it is probably a good idea to move him into a more road type position.

Police motorbike greatly helping Froome there. Amazing that this isn’t policed better even in a TT.

    Roglič losing time.

Meanwhile these fans are making me nervous with all the flags.

Froome going faster than Roglic, brilliant. Would be a great ride.

Blimey. I'd suggest Froome may have gone out too hard, but it's not like he often screws his pacing up.
