    Afternoon all.

    Has anything happened yet?

I just had an egg on some nice bread.

These intermediate sprint bonuses would be far more interesting if more bonus seconds were on offer, more reward for breakaway attacks and we might even see someone contest GvA getting the final 1sec bonus for third!

I can't believe a day out like that can end in a crash. Dan down blooded but back on.

Fook. Dan Martin looks badly beaten up. Hopefully can get back on to the back of the bunch and regroup for tomorrow.

The silver car on the right had a broken wing mirror so maybe the bunch tightened up to pass and someone hit the parked car.

David Millar looking on the bright side with that crash - "It's a chance to lose some time, go on the attack".

ITV finally wising up to the most important competition of the Tour.

Rolf Sørensen completely missed the point of losing time, suggesting he "hoped" Martin lost some so he would be free of GC ambitions and could win a couple of stages.

Proper physical sprinting - I enjoyed that.

Will Gaviria get booted off the race?
    Thinking Renshaw here.

    Dan Martin loses 1'-15".

Groenewegen, Greipel, Gaviria, Sagan. Cav was 10th - didn't sprint.

Gaviria might be getting called into the headmaster's office for that one. Greipel getting closer to the first win on this Tour.

In relation to Dan Martin: Fook, fooking fook and double-fook. Time lost and a battered body going into tomorrow's stage. Bye-byr top five GC finish.

    DD.

Can’t keep up with these time changes.

Tuning in at 16:25 French time for a sprint stage is standard behaviour.

    Ugh

There was also a bit between Søren Kragh and A.N. Other with a shoulder check. Very physical finish, great stuff.

Think Gaviria will lose his placing, hope he doesn't get chucked out.

On another note, Degenkolb has been thereabouts pretty much every flat stage, got a 5th today, despite no real Trek presence in the leadout. Might be worth a punt for tomorrow's pavé.

Could see Greipel relegated for the original switch and Gaviria relegated as a minimum and possible DQ (possibly not as bad as Renshaw but basically the same).

Got to feel for Dan but he did well to limit his losses. Cav was perfectly placed and pulled a foot, that clear seemed to be causing a problem from the start.

Seemed to come unclipped after being knocked whilst fighting for a wheel. Accelerated back a little then sat up again.

Having not seen it, I would imagine it’s the stress of the final sprint day for a long time.

Twice in two days Cav has made the top 10 just despite sitting up 100m out. Suggests some sort of form is coming back, he was right where he needed to be today as well. Shame that was his last chance for a while!
