    Meetings over.

This is really quite exciting isn't it.

    Big changes in the GC.

At least Froome and Porte lost some time on stage 1 otherwise this wold be silly.

Froome and Porte would seem to be the GC riders down on where they would have expected to be at this point.

Nibali, Uran and Valverde would have taken that on the start line.

Might be true, but it's the same as it was after stage one. Wouldn't shock me if Nairo takes some time back once it gets steep, meaning they have 3 riders fighting to be team leader/top ten finisher again...

Fair enough. I hadnt even looked at GC until today.

Although not a chance Quintana takes time out of Landa in the mountains in my view.

I imagine he'll be allowed to attack, and Landa & Valverde will mark counters. Fairly standard tactic really. I don't see it as a big issue yet. Froome / Thomas will likely do similar.

It was quietly advantage Nibali this morning...

    Not so much this evening.

That disorganised section probably cost Gilbert yellow. Pozzovivo impressed me today to be one of the 4 survivors. The early crash has done a great job of balancing out the TTT and Froome et al are going to have a battle to take time back on Tom D.

I have a feeling Tom D will find the Giro catches up with him. He's never done back to back GTs before and doing the Tour was an afterthought rather than a plan.

On the other hand, it would be bloody hysterical if he did win it, almost by accident.
