Might as well get this thread up and running for tomorrow.
A proper classic again, now that it's back up to the quarter of a millennium distance.

When do I need to start watching this?- Need to get a proper ride in tomorrow but might be a bit late starting with the clocks changing

Didn't realise that they've increased the distance. Fairly attritional race then do we reckon?

It looks like a headwind for the latter 2/3rds of the race. Doesn't look particularly strong but may deter long solo attempts and make the lumpy bits tough.
Maybe it may follow a similar pattern to E3 and will require a team effort to avoid splits.

My guess is that BMC are smarting a little and given that there will be a week to recover/prepare for Flanders, they are possibly going to go all out for the win.

    But what do I know...

With that forecast I'd say it'll probably end up a sprint, there's a lot of riding from the last berg to the finish. But I have been very wrong about this before and very often.

Also Demare at those odds is ridiculous if they can still be found, if it is a sprint
  • Fdj had some terrible crashes in last week not sure if Demare was one ? Watching this from Perth WA - Belgium weather here today unbelievably :? But back to 30s Tuesday 8)

Just under 30kms to go and the weather is not what we want: nice and sunny.

    They are starting to race.
Riders really struggling at the rear.

Tuned in expecting Kirby for some reason. Quigley is brilliant in comparison

Leading group caught by a second group. About 30 riders. Lots of big names in the front group.

GVA, Gilbert, Vanmarcke, Viviani, Sagan are all in front group.

Got to hand it to Gilbert. He's a huge star but he doesn't think twice about burying himself for the team.

Someone has to have a go soon. Cameras keen on showing chasers with no chance.

Told you Gilbert was close to last year's level. He's closing everything down.

Viviani is really annoying me with his constant banging of his handlebars.

    Sagan wins.
Viviani fumes then sits in the road and has a grizzle.
Demare and Laporte in the rest of mix.

Come on Elia. Man up bro.
  • Demare must have impeded Laporte who is on good form from the start of the season. He should be podium

So glad Sagan took that, after Quickstep closed it all down for Viviani.

Teams with sprinters, in a race like this.... who needs 'em?
