My phone wants him to be Benito or Bank Of. It can't make it's mind up.

Benoot doesn't look 100% happy on the wet descents... Bardet could maybe take a couple of seconds back?

Great ride. Chapeau . Benoot be nuts.
Great from Bardet as well, I'd not have picked him to show anywhere in a race like this, especially in these conditions.
Van Aert did brilliantly as well.

Impressive rides from all of the top 3.

Wonder how Benoot's odds for winning Flanders will fall?

Have to say that I think the novelty of this race has worn off for me. P-R it ain't.

I quite like it, I prefer it to a lot of the early season races. Great scenery and due to the time of year it's more likely to rain than at roubaix!

    I don't think it's meant to be.

I like it for it's balance. Where else would you see heavy hard one day specialists like Cancellara, Benoot, Stybar racing against climbers and GT contenders like Bardet and Valverde?

LBL gets GT riders that can climb in, but most of the hard-men from the cobbled races aren't showing. P-R and Flanders won't see any GT riders except when they'll be racing the roads in the Tour, and even then it's just recon and there's no chance of a podium. Gilbert, maybe Sagz are probably the only riders that have a realistic shot at both P-R/Flanders and LBL.

There's also a certain amount of finesse to riding the Strade Bianche. No place for Stannard/Gaudin and other such styles that match the ugly scenery of roubaix

One thing this race needs to sort out are the motos. It was like a derny race at times. And it’s not just this year, the pre-race highlights showed Kwiato getting similar last year.

I think they struggle on the dirt roads, think the riders go faster than the motos through turns. Looked like they were going to run into the motos a few times.

Just watched this - very much enjoyed it.
Strade was one of the fisrt non-tour races I saw when I started getting obsessive about racing. Most other years sun has been shining and makes me think I’d love to be riding the fondo, this year full of admiration for battling the conditions (women’s looked even worse).
Really glad the season has reastarted.

Great race. Good to see van Aert lighting it up, impressive ride from Benoot.

I think it's good that the novelty has worn off. It's established itself as a quality event, attracting a good field every year and creating exciting racing. I reckon it's the best non-monument of the season.

Conditions in this race are tough for the moto riders, but there were a few times when it seemed like they lost concentration and others when they seemed content to let the riders draft them.

I think it wouldn't hurt to film the riders from behind more.
