Sagan and Kwiato attack the chasing group followed by valverde.

    This is really good.

Lead group behind Bardet now splintering again. Think Kwia may have put some pressure on

Back on the tarmac, it's getting a bit political in the chase group, some attacks going off the front from the less well-known.

Moscon doing some work to chase by the looks of it.

    Visconti attack.

Kwia now has both Moscon and Wisniowski with him. Think Valverde has two teammates as well

Messy now, lots of small attacks up the road, Sagan having to work on the front to bring things back together.

Bardet and van Aert working really well together, chasers are all playing silly buggers.

If they don't get it together soon it'll be PTP disappointment for me again!

Just catching up, favourite moment so far - Valverde getting really confused and gesticulating when he was at the front of a bunch with his face in the wind. Doesn't normally happen until 50m before the line :-D

There's a group between Bardet and the main chasing group, 7 riders? Moscon and Visconti are in it.

Yeah, they're going hard and taking their pulls. van Aert needs to work out how to ditch Bardet before the final climb though, or he's toast.

Looks to me that this is going the same way as the women's race....

I'm loving Bardet's new look mud coloured legwarmes that go right up to his crotch.

Too much focus on the Kwia/Sagz group, the group ahead of them aren't exactly nobodies

21k to go, Bardet & van Aert have 38" on Benoot & Perry and 1'23" on the next chasers.

My money is on Bardet from here.

I think they're way too late.

The first chasing group also has plenty of talent though.

Benoot and Serry are not really closing the gap. Van Aert and Bardet could hold on. Van Aert needs to drop Bardet prior to Siena or the last climb will do him in. Doubtful it's possible though. Looks perfect for Bardet.
