How much flattish is there as we get to Serre-Chevalier - is there enough of a drag to seriously hamper a solo rider

I have a feeling that we will finish exactly as we started.

Ridiculous isn't it. Looks like they only bothered to barrier the last 100m...

    Sorry, no.

It's the iconic image of cycling.
Iconic and ridiculous aren't mutually exclusive, and I don't believe there were as many people on the roadside a few decades back either. All it takes is a flag in someone's spokes or mech and we have another Froome/Ventoux-style controversy to overshadow the actual racing.

If Bardet gets second and Aru isn't third, he takes second place.

Froome slotted in front of Landa after his turn. Could be repaying a bit of debt, could be setting Landa up for an attack.

Or just wants Landa behind in case of a mechanical - difficult to spot and respond to if you're ahead at that speed.

Landa keeps having to close gaps, might be a touch cooked.

Carlton seems to be thinking he's going to get caught, and they've taken the moto out.

The graphic says he's 1.3km ahead.
