TDF 2017: Stage 7 - Troyes - Nuits-Saint-Georges 213.5kms *Spoilers*

The battle for these breakaways are as exciting as the following 200kms.
Again, the difference between Giro and Tour is stark.
Had this stage been in the former, they would have taken the slightly more undulating, infinitely more attractive "D" road route to the West.
This being the Tour, they take the bland, but slightly more lucrative route to Nuit st Georges."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Long time lurker, infrequent poster. Got the rare chance to watch a full stage today. Realise that today has the potential to be a massive waste of time but I feel like I should persevere as this opportunity is so rare!0

Do you have the opportunity to replace watching this stage with actually going for a ride? If so DO THAT.0 -

My plan entirely - out for a couple of hours and back for the finish0 -
Unfortunately my riding days are over for the time being. Not currently very well, seeing stars after walking up the stairs. Lost a good few kilos though at least!
Back on topic, bunch nice and strung out. Long day ahead for some even with no echelons0 -

Go for a sleep. Set an alarm for 3:55pm BST.0 -
This stage is threatening to send me to the wine merchant. Sure I have a good few hours before anything exciting might happen0

The breakaway aren't taking it easy - 45kmh average so far. Peloton need to have someone actually riding to only let it get up to about 6 minutes, I reckon. Needs to be big enough gap so no catch at the intermediate sprint, but small enough to give them no chance. All three sprinters teams have someone at the front of the peloton. Gap currently 3'400 -
I might have to do the washing up, just for the relative adrenaline kick.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

I don't believe it, he's done it again, the watchman has put the wheel in backwards again.0

Sky are looking to real them in.
I think Murdoch has been on the blower moaning about not getting much coverage for all the money he keeps doling out.0 -
He's not a real mamil anyway, seeing as he only has Sora/Claris.
For real life representation, should have been at least Ultegra with deep carbon rims on a Dogma.0 -
Swear to God I don't think I can handle this fella on the Watch Finder ads committing so many crimes against cycling for another 2 weeks."A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

Pushing it along in the big ring. Fine, if he's positioning it to take a pic, but plain wrong if not!0 -

2CVs racing the peloton off road. Probably the highlight of the day and reminiscent of the car chase in For Your Eyes Only.0
