    Ciao folks

Well, that's another day's riding gone: pea souped, freezing cold, pouring down. Couple of things to sort out at work today then gym. And that's about it. Bit boring really......

    Ciao

Mild out this morning, first snotless ride in for 5 months, things are looking up. Rain is imminent.

  • WFH, pissing down. May get the bike out for an hour. Paris-Nice & Tirreno-Adriatico on TV could affect that decision.

    merry birthday

i can see that wrapping would've been tricky, but did you want a wall with a glowing thing on, or was it a complete surprise?

    Happy birthday!

In the office again today, the GF took the hound to the vet this morning as he has been sick over the last few weeks with increasing frequency, they are having to keep him in for an xray. I suspect he isn't getting on with his food but it's best to be sure, quiet in the office without him sleep-growling or farting though...

Happy birthday Slog. Glowing nipple is a tad distracting, I hope you don't always ride with it in front of you as it could cause target fixation.
Drove in again today as still not breathing properly, getting easier though. It's wet and horrible outside so not a bad thing to be in the car. I was wearing my smart shoes today as I dug them out the cupboard last night, the sole just fell off so good job they didn't get pressed straight into action Fryday. Reckon I'm going to be having a punch up in the office later, could be interesting.

Well done, happy wife and man points in the bag. My wife's a perfectionist, ads a lot of pressure to my DIY and the possibility of negative man points.

Just beeen presented with an invoice for £4.95 for some travel costs.

Yeah, right, nice one. After a 16 hour journey it's most unlikely that I'll be paying that.......

That's champion shirking that. This is what I like - someone who doesn't prescribe to the Presbyterian work ethic and is open about it, not like the other frauds and fake shirkers who frequent this place.

Was supposed to start the books but at least the car is clean. My 4 yo is improving at it too. Soon i'll be able to bribe her but that means introducing the concept of wages and spending power and it could backfire on me.

It's a funny thing shirking. I consider myself quite lazy, but the people around here who are total and utter lazy phucktards of the highest order and are not worth employing keep saying how hard they work.

Since the presentation of The Invoice I've done nothing but watch Paris - Nice with a coffee and my feet on the desk.

I'm now going to the gym.

As a taxpayer (sometimes) I want you to pay me back half please? I'll even let you off the half pence and you can give me £2.37. Shirley that's a fair outcome?
I promise not to buy a coffee in Starbucks for obvious reasons (as well as the irony factor).

@VN. Laziness is one thing, shirking is another.

Quick question for experienced fettlers. When fitting new brake cables should I fit new outer casing, or is the old ok? Any tips for internal rear brake cable change?

you can use the old if it's in good condition, but if it's getting tired/worn/sticky i'd replace it

internal tips: research specific to the frame, don't remove anything until you know exactly what to do
