Finding Ruth Langsford strangely alluring on Strictly.
Definitely too good for Eamonn.0 -

On the late night/early morning BBC news programmes, can't quite explain it, just........something!!0 -
Is she related to that labour politician with the same surname?
Hobbies include tennis and long distance running. Really?!?! Doesn't look built like someone keen on long distance running. Is it wrong to say that?0 -

Perhaps I have been influenced by others, I always thought she was really tidy but a lot of my friends couldn't see it. I met her many years ago at Nant Gwrtheyrn and always did have a thing for her.
I will retract Nia Parry.0 -
There's some chick on BBC Radio Ulster who does the traffic who has a really sexy voice. Now, i'm not that keen on the Nardern Eyrlan' accent but she has this tempered, toned down voice.
The sort of posh accent like a received Edinburgh speak rather than the gravelly Dumbarton equivalent, except I don't know what part of that area of the world she is from..seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

OK. Short version: I assume you mean the internal cill/window board as the external cill is normally an integral part of the window frame. You can buy traditional timber window board up to 400mm deep x 25mm thick from the online skirting sellers. If you want deeper or thicker, then a good bet is a section of worktop. If you want something really durable (if it's somewhere that's going to get things dumped on it like any horizontal surface in rjs Towers) then the laminate faced stuff is good. Or solid timber worktop with a paint or stain finish if you want something a bit less utilitarian. IIRC it's a house with solid masonry walls, which can have a bit of moisture in them, so a bit of DPM under the board, or if painting, do both sides to stop it warping (less of an issue with the moisture resistant chipboard option). Does that help?
Wasn't that short, actually.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Spot on and thank you. I acquired (I don't know how) a piece of untreated 4cm thick laminate (block). It had cut marks all over it but I sanded it and made it into the inner sill for the cloakroom toilet. Looks good. Might even lacquer it.
I'll have a look at some of the stuff you mentioned.
Been plaster boarding ceilings today. It was murder. Used a plasterboard lifter but still.
I made two box sections to cover the two metal posts holding up the H section RSJ where I made it open plan. Looks good but would you paint them (egg shell) or line them with plaster board? What do you think makes for a better finish?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
