    A had the "pleasure" of hearing Nellist speak at a do to mark the 25th anniversary of the miners' strike.
    If I'd had Claus' briefcase with me that night, I would have put it to good use.

    At 70, Blackmore still knows his way around a strat, but the years have been less forgiving to Gillan's voice.

    Gillan's voice has well and truly gone, a reason why I won't go and see Deep Purple next year.

    I saw them with Graham Bonnet. Apart from the Saturday Night Fever white suit I actually thought he was ok. Joe Lynn Turner was all wrong and that's where Rainbow went downhill for me.
    RJD was just the most incredible vocalist, and I'm so glad that I actually got to see him live.
