Lord save us from long dead commies or even a table full of blokes. There aren't many situations that aren't improved by the presence of a woman or two.

I think I'd want to crash CiB's bash. Imagine the state of Winkelman's eye make up when she gets wet.

    Didn't see this.

You my friend are a bloody fine gent. I know Carl. We worked with him in the 90's when I lived in Detroit and I've had the pleasure of playing records next to him. He is a fine, fine man. What's your fave release?

No idea on a particular release but his tunes pretty much always appeal, got quite a few on Spotify playlists, a couple of CDs, and saw him at The Big Chill a few years back which 'worked'.

Just because you don't agree with his politics, doesn't mean he can't be funny. Even Kenny Everett was occasionally funny.

You're a miserable old goat Bally.

Nowt to do with his politics. Ben Elton could be funny in his anti Thatch ranting. Sayle just aint funny.

For once I agree with BM.

I can't appreciate Sayle as a comedian in the same way I can't appreciate Russell Howard. I think there's a distinct lack of humour, quality, insight or intelligence in either.

Why no Mr Ed? As purveyor of this thread, i'll allow you eight if you include him and the hugely unnoticed and underrated Stoaty McStoat; the hero weasel from Montrose.
[Jeezo mon, Google spell checker doesn't even recognise 'McStoat' ]

Do you think The cat and Flipper would see eye to eye?

I'd have my Mum and Dad back from the grave. There's so much I'd now like to be able to ask them, and my Mum never got to see my wife or our two boys :(

Ok, Ed's in. And for crissakes man, Stoaty is frae Midlothian, no Montrose (or Motherwell). How many times do you need to be told?

    Och, go on then.
  • All of these people are now dead.
    My mum
    My dad
    Malcolm Lester
    David Lester
    Graham Lester
    Linden Smith

The last four all perished in a car crash when all in their teens, they were friends and I would just like to see them again.

    My other party would involve
    Jesus christ
    Adolf Hitler
Maggie Thatcher (just so I could spit in her soup)
    Tommy cooper
    Arthur Scargill
    Muhammad Ali

And loads of "gatecrashers" including "Ballysmate".
    Tail end Charlie
