Cav and Wiggins win by gaining a lap right at the end. Quite entertaining.

Took it noticeably easier during the session than the others and saved it for when it counts.
    London in reverse.
Poor showing from the BR crowd. I didn't see anybody passed out, track centre.

I peaked on Fri night, and took it moderately on Sat and Sun. I KNOW! I've let myself down, I've let BR down...

Seriously my life is complete. 2016 went from being an annus horribilis to the best year ever in one single moment!

Here's the vid, not that I have it bookmarked for eternity or anything...

I was there on the Saturday - what a night! Nice to meet up with some BR people. apologies if a rambled about nothing but someone (RR) told me to buy the red beer tokens and after a few of those the night went a bit west.

Fantastic weekend, despite the CX on Sunday being cancelled - would recommend it to all, however I think I should have taken the Monday off work, I haven't been very productive this morning.
  • oh I see, Mr Poll, its MY fault...: )

Question for the Madison experts: could Cav and Wiggins have crossed the line together, or does the inactive rider have to get out of the way in some fashion?

I'm no expert, but I know they can do the changes at any point - so it would effectively be no different to a changeover.

They took a lap and it being Cav's turm to join the peloton which he did with style and then he shook them by going past so fast that he was able to take the last lap sprint to finish the race with ease.

With that manoeuvre :- there could be no argument that in fact a lap had been gained

I think that was Wiggins who went on the attack. He then swapped for Cav who crossed the line.

So they could have done a Lemond - Hinault handsling across the line? Maybe it's not the done thing.

There's an awful lot of Wiggins & Cav on the sporza cycling page if anyone fancies it.

    http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/wielrennen

Given English isn't their first language they don't bother blanking out the C words, so maybe not one to watch with the kids.

Then again, they probably hear worse at school every day.

I quite enjoyed that on a bit of a crappy day - thanks for the heads up.

    Papa Keisse is impressed...

That's why he can afford to shut at the weekend...

(That go pro videos does very little to dispel the rumours that derby races are less than 100% authentic...)

    Derny races too

Ach, the crowd had a blast every night. Peril accurately predicted the top 3 of almost every derny race, the cad : )
  • Oh bless, Cav didn't want to get beaten in the beer drinking by Bradley so left early
