This is at Robin Hoods Bay,the boat was called Sarb J she ran aground in the early/mid 90's,she has been pretty much stripped of scrap metal of any worth
Surf check one winters morning,it was as cold as it looked, this is Cayton Bay near Scarborough, sits at the end of the vale of York/Pickering low lying ground always colder than elsewhere, effect of the cold air hitting the warmer water

We went to "Art Night London" (http://www.artnight.london/) on Saturday. Looked at a few exhibits (one where I narrowly missed out having a piece selected), had pizza and a couple of drinks...
G&T by Ben H, on Flickr
One exhibit was in the Lumen Crypt Gallery at St John on Bethnal Green. On the way out, we spotted this guy. He reluctantly posed for a close up and then scowled at a group of art-loving ladies...

The trip was great, really lucky with the weather. Had time to do the climb up to La Bararde, the Lacets, Col du Mollard and the Croix de Fer as well as up to AdH via La Serenne.
Missed a gold time in the Marmotte by 20 minutes (again) - it never gets easier. I'm determined to get there though!Ben6899 wrote:Ah mate, they're great.

Memorial the the merchant seamen of WW2 at Point du Pen Hir
I was never quite sure if it was right to take photo's here at the Omaha Beach Memorial and graveyard, the place certainly sets you back when you realize these are just a small number of brave men that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms
