    Just back from family holiday in France, went to Chantilly for the start of the final stage.

    Might post more thoughts later when I catch up with work but can confirm Chantilly is extraordinary and every cliché you've ever heard about French people is entirely true.

    Just back from family holiday in France, went to Chantilly for the start of the final stage.

    Might post more thoughts later when I catch up with work but can confirm Chantilly is extraordinary and every cliché you've ever heard about French people is entirely true.

    Nice chateau. Big but fairly boring gardens. Dull little town. The horse museum is quite fun. Nice roads for cycling.

    The chateau is the main attraction, the view from the wee bridge towards the chateau worth the visit in my view.
    On the cliché front French shopkeepers don't care that the biggest annual sporting event is in their town. It's Sunday. We don't open Sunday. Non.
