The person who hit the floor first was an Orica rider (identified in commentary as Gerrans), Stannard clipped them and went down, followed by a couple of other Sky guys

Ah be fair - it was Gerrans who took out the team

    Really? I need a replay.

Definitely, Gerrans wiped out in front of Stannard leaving him no space.

That crash was nasty... Froome went for a p1ss to neutralise the race and let people back on.

Crash was an everyday crash and you don't take a p'iss 30km from the finish neutralising the stage. I hate this and I hate Cancellara.

Have to agree. It's bordering on absurd.

Gerrans fell and took of the sky team. After consultation with Cancellera, the riders are back to the early afternoon tea and biscuits.

Always has to act as policeman, doesn't he..

It's almost as absurd as when he drove around the velodrome in Roubaix with a flag after ending 40th in the race...

But he fell over, and that was funny, so thoroughly worthwhile in my opinion.

Would I be right in thinking that Skybhad a full team around Froome? I'm which case other teams may not have been waiting just for Sky/Froome, but their own dropped teammates

Gerrans crash has turned the race situation on it's head.
First off the winner will now probably come from the break.
Sky have gone from being numerically dominant, to being on an equal footing with Movistar.
They can now set their tempo, whereas they would have been left to the mercy of Sky.

Definitely the funniest thing that is going to happen in pro cycling this year unless Boar Man storms the podium in Paris.

I'm not sure. It definitely did't look like it. He just looked around and saw his teammates were gone... signaled that he was pulling to the side, then he slowed down and waited ... all whilst Cancellara was trying to neutralise the race

If the team that has ridden on the front for 11 stages have a problem caused by someone else it seems reasonable to wait.

ah it was about Aru changing back to his race bike and he was going about more bike problems, when it was obvious that the chnage was simply to get back on his preferred bike... Of course Kelly corrected him (in a way). I wad thinking Kirby was getting better a few days ago... maybe I'm just in a bad mood after seeing Candelabra's actions
