Great weather today, hailstones like bricks at the finish:
Team Sky's Geraint Thomas on ITV4: "The rain is actually quite nice, it's like being back in Wales.

Have they introduced a points system for cylist/spectaror "interface" yet? There was a really decent one today. Maybe they could have a "Green Cross Code" jersey.

Idiots galore today. However, there was something very easy on the eye in a bikini running along.

Didn't see the bikini (not that I saw much of yesterday, at all), but people running alongside the riders really makes me fume.

If I'd been waiting all day and then my view was blocked by some silly tosser who was running between me and the bikes, I think I'd have to lamp him.

I have observed a few runners getting pushed into the ditch in the past. I always chuckle.
I saw the bikini clad female. Obviously well endowed as she was struggling to constrain movement.

I was expecting an accident with the amount of idiots trying to get on TV whilst running with the cyclists.

I was watching live so no real timescale.
At a guess, 20 minutes from the finish.

I was thinking of the guy that got hit and flattened by a cyclist when trying to cross the road - he looked like he expected the riders to stop at the zebra crossing.

Hah, can't have been me. I don't wear my specs when I'm out running :)

I've missed two days on the trot now, one due to work and one due to wine. I'll probably miss tonight too but that''ll be down to the bike.

Should be a good stage today.
The reduced stage should make it more explosive. If Quintana is interested that is.

I think it's only reduced by 400 metres.

Froome looks fresh as a daisy, I doubt Quintana will put anything into Froome even if he does go on the attack. Be interesting to see how Adam Yates gets on.

From the highlight show last night, it is reduced down to the tree line at the Chateau Reinard due to high winds. Quite a bit from memory of a bare landscape.
Edit - 6km of climbing to the top knocked off apparently. Should still leave room for attacks.

Oh Look! a chappy in a mankini running with the riders! Gosh, how original, you'd wonder how they think it up.

But in all seriousness, it was probably one of those complete and utter twunts who caused the problem. Did you notice the 'fan' with a placard determined to get in the way after the incident, even though he must have seen the carnage that getting in the bloody way had already caused.

That wasn't a spoiler was it?

If spectators went onto a downhill course like that they'd get decked.

As referee and original OP, I hereby order you to do as the Romans do (metaphorically speaking) and get into the BB spirit.

Now, can someone tell me about the UCI decision today regarding Froome/Porte? I'd rather not trawl Pro Race.

All riders in the affected group given the time difference at the point of the incident. Froome gained time on the rest off the GC.

Now that I don't understand - I thought it was bicycle race, not a running race. Can someone please explain?

Froome, being a regular lurker in Pro Race, was getting fed up with comments about the Tour getting dull. All the downhill top tube hugging and uphill fell running is to brighten our working days.
