Great ride from Cummings. He did it in the Giro. Fair play to the guy @ 35.

I suppose Contador is out of it. Pity.

What fantastic scenery today in the foothills to the Pyrenees.

Have they made it interesting this year by putting a few tabletops and drops offs into the course?

60+ mph descending not good enough for ya? ...and then there's the podium girls.

I guess they need something to incentivise a bunch of blokes to pedal in a straight line for hours on end?

The aerial shot of those guys playing chess on a mountain top with a couple bikes to boot took some doing. How the heck they did that is beyond me...

And the other thing that was cool. Robbie McEwen commenting on the horse being ridden alongside the peloton, and besting them. And approving of the bloke doing so. Then when David M and Ned took over they politely corrected him that the rider was female. As of you could miss the difference...

Phht. Doing that climb in 27 days time, as a finale to another 3 mountains on day 5 of 6.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

You'll have to get your cheque book out.

Cycling holiday in the Pyrenees Blakey? Yo lucky basket. Is that the trans Pyrenean randonee thingy or you doing it off your own back?

It is said that the alps are for tourists and the pyranees is for purists.

Remember stevo doesn't grasp speed, he bought a mazda after all
Cummings is a local rider for me and ignoring his horrible neck a pleasant guy when I have spoken to him. Was a great ride from him, not a shock tactic for him but a smart ride

No but now I know there's a downhill bit.

On the plus side, this is my first reply in a Pro race thread thingy, I'm normally invisible :D

Hmmm... for all Froome's aerodynamics, he got most of the 20 seconds in the first few hundred yards.

    What fantastic scenery.

I think Movistar were thinking the same as Froome pedalled away from them.

Have they introduced a points system for cylist/spectaror "interface" yet? There was a really decent one today. Maybe they could have a "Green Cross Code" jersey.
