    If that hold true, it's amazing after the crash inside 1k on stage 1. How nobody was seriously injured after that I'll never know.

    Smashed Kittel in a straight up sprint again. It looked like he might get boxed in but he rode it perfectly again, just sat on Kittel's wheel until it opened up.

    Right I'm crying off sick from my evening ride after the effects of yesterday's omafiets crash and today's neurology treatment has rendered my shoulders disagreeable.

    Awesome win - held that for a long, long time. No arguments from Kittel there, they were both in the wind for 300-odd metres next to each other. McLay was a tiny bit too early - if he'd gone a second later, I think he would have got round and won it. Someone on the world tour has to get him onto a team for next year

    I'd totally written Cav off as a spent force. What an amazing turn around in his form this year - he might even go on to beat Merckx' record if he can keep going for another 2 years.
