Interesting... it wasn't a factor that I looked at it when examining the schedule this year, maybe we can revise next year?

Also, to be fair, Schelderprijs was on the BIKE channel. I think BIKE channel is confusing things in a positive way.

I was reading on Cycling nesw he was planning a breakaway win and next thing i know he's done it. Very impressive.

Last 11km well worth watching (steephill). Cummings completely invisible until 1km and must have been miles back at 1.5.
Then he switches on the motor .....
    Quite amazing steal there.
  • He's got a great knack for timing.

Flipping heck. I take it most people missed this or there'd be more love for Cummings's's's move...!?

He's in danger of becoming the text book example of how to mug the peloton.
    Fabulous.

Mugging Gerrans from the kite should be in every DSs book of tactics.

33.8km to go with 2:32 gap. Tomorrow is horrible (more horrible than than the other days that are all pretty bad) day and no threat in breakaway so peleton letting them stay at about that distance

Landa looks like he's struggling a bit today, just dropped through the group on the penultimate climb despite it not being raced particularly hard.

That's a very steep hill! Henao attacking on the 28% bit, Landa blown completely.

Now Verona out front with Mate and Wellens chasing. Next hill is 3km to go and peaks 1km from line

Pinot and Aru looking to bridge to Wellens and Mate - who have just made it to Verona

Front 3 together, Aru coming up quick with Pinot then the rest of the group, Landa back in.

Henao to go on the climb again I reckon.

Verona passed him a few minutes ago - and the peleton just got him as well; why is he allowed to be on the course?

This tour rocks! What an amazing finish - nasty kick up with Contador attacking, terrifying descent, and Sammie Sanchez solo run from summit to the kite to the line

Henao could have gone on that last climb and prob have taken the victory himself but just marked bertie instead, good win for Sanchez though.

Tomorrow is a brute - with Henao, Quintana, Contador and Landa all within a handful of seconds and the climbers wanting time before the timetrial (although that is a climbing timetrial) should be good
