    Yeah, alive despite the ale

After a nice ride, I'm now playing tennis (badly)

    Later is more ale

Had a good brekky in the B&B this morning then drove back up from Dorset while the world and his wife tried to go in the other direction. Unfortunately its dawning on me that I have work tomorrow. Cracking long weekend though.

Traditional slow start was had, this was followed by a bit of pottering about. About to go back to fettling the Mini for a bit before getting a call from Apple support (hopefully) to sort my poxy phone out.

    Monday

    Morning Losers!

Sadly it's back to work for me too, however only today and then I have 2 days off.

My friend is coming back from America, and was meant to be arriving in Manchester at about 9:30am, it's now been pushed back to 1:35pm, meaning they haven't even set off yet. Gutted much.

So todays plan is to get through work, collect some parcels from one of these funky new Amazon lockers (to see how they work) and then head over to Bury to (hopefully) meet my returning friends and make them a decent Spag Bol.

Not enough sleep was mostly self inflicted as I watched the gp I had recorded

Today is working from home as we've got no workmen in thankfully

Later should be painting - so much fun

    Morning sadacts,

Today I'll actually be doing useful stuff as have a job interview on Wednesday then fly to Sweden next Wednesday for a couple of weeks. Hopefully I'll get back from holiday with a job lined up, but I'm enjoying this holiday lark so no drama if I don't get it.

    Morning you nut jobs,

Got up early to open the gates for the arrival of the roofers then went back to bed then got rudely awoken when the roofers cr4ppy radio went on with loud cr4ppy europop! Still, they should be finished soon.

Not much else to report so i'll do one.

    Enjoy your mondays y'all!

    Morning all,
Slightly bleary start to the day, but then I never did like 6.30 on a Monday morning. Only a 4 day week for me then off on holiday. Lots to do before then of course. Good mate from school is over from the US for a few days so meeting up for a drink tonight, could get messy.

Dawn has broken...at least the aches and pains from the weekend are fading. Time to start planning the next one :)

Other than that it's work with a bit of new minion hunting chucked in to liven things up.

Busy day. It's all kicking off at work with Jerry McGuire emails being submitted to the CEO. 3 x 10 miles rides at the weekend so having a night off tonight. Feeling good and building up leg strength.

    Tuesday

    Morning Losers!

I've barely slept as I was in a foreign bed, and I just always struggle to sleep somewhere new. Still, Spag Bol turned out good, though I forgot garlic bread! Shame on me!

Today I'm off taking my dog-walking friend to pick up a puppy! Also picking up my season ticket for the (not so) Mighty Shakers, and a parcel from da Hudd whilst en route.

Then it's back here to walk a dog, a puppy and have some fun.

    Morning all,
Never mind the strange bed TKM the horizontal dog walking should have helped you sleep.
Managed to get the Mini fixed last night, as a result my back hurts and my hands are covered in scratches. Drove it in this morning and all seems to be working well at least. Hoping for a quiet day in the office so I can start to get things tidy before my holiday.

    Morning fools,

Waiting at the vets for the cat to get his annual boosters. Not a happy boy as he rocked up with a dead mouse 20 minutes ago and I had to steal him away. Much prefer dead mice to live birds which I had to deal with (again,) a couple of weeks ago.

Missus not working til this evening so need to take her for lunch I guess then do some prep for tomorrow's job interview whilst I have some peace and quiet whilst having a couple of hours on the turbo.

Meeting a mate for a ride on Thursday and it's been a while - since we last met for a ride he's started racing so I may have my work cut out trying to keep up with him.

    Evening Tards,

Longish day invokving pedalling has made me tired, but I get a lie in as I'm working ffom home tomorrow. Stropteen got caught out as she claims never to listen to music from my era: caught her listening to Bananarama and Fun Boy Three this evening :)

    Wednesday

Chaos in our house as the plumbers have somehow turned off the aga, so no hot water and one ruined chicken that the wife put in before she realised. This along with the power tripping meaning she can't park in the garage mean one grumpy wife!

Bright side, dinner was at the pub last night :)

Working locally today, but no pedal as I need to drop the kids off at their football club - this is the sum total of my commitment to them during the summer, so I shouldn't complain (too much)

    Afternoon,
It's quiet here, guess everyone is out riding their bikes or looking for pokemon.
Nice easy ride in this morning, I've stopped riding fast to work. There are some sections I like to ride fast but generally I ride at an easy pace when commuting. Very little work meh to do so just doing enough so the day doesn't drag.

Working from home - the girls are out and the hound is snoozing so I'm cracking on with emails and stuff. Luckily its also holiday season so our Euro colleagues are mostly on the beach or about to go, so it's not too stressful 8)

    Hola mincers,

First job interview today after being out of work for 4 weeks. I hope I get it as it's the only job I've seen thus far that I actually want!

Having a lazy evening as tomorrow I'm doing various things that mean travelling Gloucester - Cannock - Stoke - Chester - Worcester - Gloucester. Bikes, food and beer will play a part at various points

    Thursday

    Mehning Losers!

I've not had enough sleep. Like, nowhere near enough sleep to be riding a motorbike on one of the busiest motorways in England! I feel like if I close my eyes for more than a split second, I'll wake up in several hours!

Had a great couple of days, puppy teeth are frickin' sharp! Not at all happy to be going back to work, but oh well.

Blimey, is that the time already?
Don't close your eyes when riding a motorbike TKM, a friend of mine tried that and it made a mess.
My last day of work for nearly 3 weeks so I'm trying to get things tidied up, not doing very well with it. Just been to the cafe for a fry up as it's Fryday for me. Really should crack on with things.

    Afternoon,
Strange end to a ride last night but after a lot of miles I still managed a PR up a big hill. A segment called the "get abuse from inbreds" climb. Even at 10pm it lived up to it's name with some inbred beeping at me for no apparent reason.
Today was a slow start and this afternoon is customer service training. Someone has managed to stretch out the message "don't be a d1ck" to a three hour session.
Today is my Friday and four o'clock can't come soon enough.

    Evening Clunge Hunters,

It was whisky, cider and curry night tonight so not bad. The idea of cycling tomorrow doesn't appeal quite as much as did a few hours ago mind. Friday tomorrow...

Yep, although the whisky is not a regulat Thursday fixture.
