I see EuroSport advertising MSR as the longest sprint race on the calendar.

Gone are the days that Paris-Tours held that title.

Paris-Nice looked like a much harder race than Tirreno-Adriatico, especially the last two days. Does that make it ideal preparation or too much to recover from? I can't decide.

difference guys hitting out at P-N for gc are unlikely to win msr unlike those battling for win at T-A

Yep, looking for a detour route at the moment. Apparently scheduled to pass that area around 1pm UK time

Looks like there will be a 9k diversion onto a motorway.

Turchino climb may be cut out as a result.

They like to get the 300kms covered before darkness sets in.

Hope this diversion doesn't add much time otherwise I won't be winning the £1000 Rapha prize.

I don't hold out much hopes for the folks who were traveling in those cars.

Journalist Felix Mattis is on the scene of the landslide and he's reported that:

Most important information from the landslide: Nobody injured. That's what the firemen on site just told me. #MSR

I didn't even notice the cars that had been hit at first! Glad to hear nobody was hurt.

It's still in apparently and not cut out by the diversion.

Two injured, one critical. Not good news.

The Turchino climb is still in, the diversion happens at the foot of the descent.

Wishing a speedy recovery to all involved in that landslide.

In position on the sofa ready for the live coverage to start. Going for a ride myself out of the question due to stitches in my knee following a crash last weekend.

    Who's commentating on Eurosport?

OMG. Fat Cat is actually Maciek Paterski.

Going for a ride myself is also out of the question. The sun isn't shining and there's a big race on telly.
