might be worth saying the race is on Saturday and not Sunday as perhaps expected
Milano-Sanremo goes back to its roots. Following last year’s return of the race finish to the Via Roma, the Classicissima will be held on March 19 this year. That’s St Joseph’s Day, which Milano-Sanremo used to take place on regardless of which day of the week it fell on.

Good it's back on a Saturday.

I'm rather looking forward to this. Several riders looking in very good form... PTP gonna be hard...
  • Paris-Tours is the Sprinters' Classic, Shirley?

It was only on the Sunday once in the last 30 odd years and that was 3 years ago!

Anyway, more importantly, what's the weather forecast?

I just knew that comment would cause trouble - and don't call me Shirley :-)

Zabel four times, Freire three times, Cipollini, Petachi, Cavendish ...

I don't hand out the nicknames, I just enforce them

Good article (as always) from Inrng on MSR and the "winning move" here.

There's a good bit in ProCycling this month about "How to win MSR", Sean Kelly knows all!

With how big Kittel climbed during Dubai surprised he's not racing here.
It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.

It's not a classic. It's a kermesse, that allows the riders the chance to stretch their legs between Flanders and Roubaix.

They said that about Cavendish and he won on his debut. I do agree with you though. I think Kittel does too.

I've got a fiver on Swift at 40/1, on EBH at 20/1.

Will go with Matthews currently at 8's.

I'm just checking right now, Rowe is 300/1. That's worth a £5 for a late attack on the Poggio.
