Both look good! Solboy, did you get 685 brakes with post mounts? If so where did you pick em up and at what price?
Got the post mounts on line and the 685s from Evans. PBK had the flat mount brake kit for 299 and I asked Evans if they would price match the non flat mount kit and they said yes! That's cheaper than Bike Discount Germany which is where I was originally going to buy the kit.

Good move, ill try that if they don't get the pm back at pbk this week. They did have them for a day last week but i missed the boat, dithering about trying sram! How are the levers, some have said they aint great for small hands? Any regrets not going for a 105 caad 12?

I don't huge big hands and I have not had any issues. I think the reach is adjustable? Take great care not to contaminate the pads when installing!

Didn't look at the Caad 12 but I have wanted a Blank Inc for ages and when I saw it on sale I didn't hesitate. I cant stress how much I like this bike. I think its pretty perfect as it is "metal", has discs, has classic geo, has decent tyre clearance and is nice and light and rides beautifully. I know you can get Evos for the same money and I bet they are awesome but I didn't want another carbon bike. I think this bike will make me ride more which is really what its all about.
  • Anyone want to sell me their 56 : )
  • Anyone tempted to sell me their 56cm Black Disc version yet ? : )

Haven't gotten around to building mine up yet. Might be tempted to part with it - to part fund an Evo Hi Mod - if someone was interested in taking it, the Sram Rival Hydro group and the Pro lIte Revos that I bought for it as a Job lot ?
Groupset is new-unused take-off of another bike, and the wheels are still brand new in the box. Could also supply brand new (2016) Sram Red Cranks with Praxis rings, or Hollowgram crank-set to go with it.

Possible I guess. Have to be honest, I hadn't thought of it ! Is "I changed my mind" a reason they'd accept ?

I wasn't thinking of selling till I saw that someone is after one, and the Evo is very tempting. I definitely can't have both.

Solboy, what hydraulic hose did you use? I decided to put 685 on this, as well. There don't seem to be any grommets in frame entries, i wonder if hose will be loose there or rattle?

Used the cables that came with the kit I think they are 2.3mm internal bore. No grommets required and no rattles!

Unless I am misreading that, the write up seems to be for mtb wheels?

Can 140mm disks be run front and back on this with 785 calipers? Any adaptors needed in such case? Or would 160 be more reasonable at 78kg?

Take a look at the non Black Inc version on line (the 2015 blue one). I think it came with 160 front and 140 rear. I run 160/160 and it works great.

Thanks, solboy10, i think i would feel safer running 160 disks, too.

Getting frustrated with the build now and wondering how much longer i'll be fiddling with this. It looks like i cannot install my Praxis Turn Zayante crank because praxis adaptor will not fit due to internal cabling, as mentioned above. It seems that 24 mm spindles are the only option to avoid rubbing cables running through the bb? Is there any other 24 mm cranks other than Shimano? Does Red 22 not rub cables, and what bb that would need?

Look at some of the Rotor BB to see if you can find a match for your crank. They have a narrower internal sleeve than Praxis.

Just swapped my BB for the Rotor - seems good so far.
