Cav should have sprinted to Kristoff's left hand side, given the cross wind. That would have given Cav the win.

Just saw the last 30secs. EBH lead it out but most of the peloton were held up by last minute crash. Nice wheel to wheel final few meters.

Crash was caused by poor etiquette and not looking far enough ahead.

    Started 50m too soon.

Can't out long Kristoff in a sprint.

Looked as if Cav almost lost his front wheel as he swings to the right of Kristoff, just about holds it but loses a couple of revolutions and then can't get it back.

Didn't see the lane divider... shouldn't there be marshal there waving a flag and blowing a whistle?

  • Marshaling missing where it was needed most.
Katusha not exactly keeping a low profile.
Their whole train shifted over to the left which bunched everybody up right in front of the central res.
Then the head butt on EBH.

Andy Schleck is finished. Working in his new bike shop full time.

Rumour has it he's out the back with the broom.

Rubbish. In Andy's shop; Andy's rules - he doesn't have to go out the back before June. Apart from anything else, what with all the weather, the back step is a bit slippy: descending it is a health and safety no-no.

there was no room for him to go up on the left as EBH pulled off to the left and took up that space

Kristoff has got to be the best in the world at long sprints. He can hold his top speed for an amazingly long time.

Out with a broken shoulder (coller bone?) which was operated on that day. Suffering from quite a bit of gravel still embedded in his skin..... :(
