Hayman has been a pro for seventeen seasons and that is only his fourth win.

Shame the cycling season is now over. But with one of the best races ever to have been ridden it's hard to be too down.

It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
  • That is quite possibly the best race I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of races.

Gutted that Tomekke couldn't win, but happy for Hayman, he definitely deserves it

Yer well, you know. We all saw that one coming.
Old, random Bloke in the break, drops them for a bit, has a wiff, then is stronger than Mr PR.

Possibly. I don't like him and don't quite get the hype about him.

Missed the start. When and how did the split come leaving Sagan and Canc chasing?

There couldn't have been a better winner for me really. Ok he's an Australian but still. He's been toiling away at this race for well over a decade with no real results and people generally just viewing him as an also ran, and suddenly it all clicks into place for him.

Caught behind in a crash, Tony Martin piled the pressure on.

    Fairytale stuff.

Me, anyone that wins from the break, that's good stuff.

Its not my line but as somebody said - did you notice how compliant the new Trek Domane is when Sagan rode over it?

Missed it, what did he do?!

Rode around the velodrome like a king waving to his subjects, grabbed a huge Swiss flag from some fans and promptly fell off and slid down the banking.

Nothing like someone having their inflated sense of self punctured in the most publicly mortifying way possible.

    Delicious.

Everybody still wants to be one of the sad gits sent up the road for chase fodder.

There's always one who survives and makes it to the end with the big boys...

    .

Sorry, I know this is a bit mean. But I don't quite feel bad enough about it to not do it...

I had Stannard each way. Also won on Cavendish to beat Greipel (but lost on Cancellara beating Sagan)

Also won last night by correctly predicting that a boxer that enters the ring wearing a crown and moobs isn't going to last three rounds.

My dream podium, posted on Twitter this morning: Stannard, EBH, Benoot.

    Not all that far off....
