Froome's Data

It could be worse. He's not banging on about how Brailsford speaks like a supermarket regional manager, his results are hyped by a gravy train press and swallowed as gopel by this forum of fanbois. That really would be trolling.
A management consultant specialising in just-in-time grocery supplies perhaps. Regarding results, I think they're mediocre (catastrophic in 2014) without Froome, a rider who didn't fit his David Brent-esque 'rider curve' and he wanted to ditch let's not forget. You could even argue that Froome succeeded in 2013 despite Kerrison delivering a knackered support squad. Wiggo's 2012 is the exception. Truly a brilliant deployment of blind force: like surrounding Messi with a team of Savages. But even here there are massive caveats. Brailsford's blind loyalty to, or fear of, this Diva almost certainly cost his team the 2011 Vuelta.
Porte won a few chippers and Stannard Thomas and Swift are now monument threats. Granted.
I think his results massively flatter his abilities and am allergic to the virus of management consultancy infecting the last authentic sport on earth.
Could I recommend having a browse of "the gervais principle" on Ribbon farm??0 -

Blimey! Whilst I completely get the moans about the management style of Team Sky seen as ushering in a less romantic version of how to win bike races, let's not forget the context of the scene at the time and who Brailsford was up against: there's Vinokourov, Riis, Bruyneel, Tinkov, Unzue…
Brailsford may be to management what Dire Straits were to rhythm and blues, but I know who I reserve my sneering contempt for...0 -

We are better than that.
I don't know who he is there, but give the bloke a chance.
Engage if one feels the need to try and re-educate. If not, leave him and his opinion be and allow boredom to do it's thing.

I'm sorry, I was quoting said long running animated sit com"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I'm genuinely intrigued what these people get out of this...? Do they think it's funny?
It was brilliant until about 15 years ago. Series 9 and 10 were probably its high water mark. It's just a cash machine for Fox now."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

All the original writers were gone and the producers celebrity chums wanted more guest spots.
Series 9 is my favourite. Poochy, Hank Scorpio, John the gay junk shop owner (including gay steel mill), Mr Sparkle and the best episode ever...
