Apparently a Dutch guy guessed Trump’s twitter password and got in - no two-step verification.

Not much use though really, not matter what nonsense or inflammatory comments you used it for it would be an improvement on Trump's own Tweeting.

That's the whole problem with any borat style movie. The stuff trump and his team say in public is worse than anything they might be exposed saying in private.

I'm concerned that they have half a brain cell between them and filter some of that they say in public. I dread to think of the private conversations Trump has.
    Then again, probably not.

Jim Carey as Joe Biden on SNL has been the highlight of the election campaign.

I don't have any skin in the game here, I'm just someone who watches on bemused at the state of American politics, but I haven't seen the clip in question yet (have any of you?) and is it beyond the bounds of possibility that some crafty editing has been used to make this look like more than it is? Yeah Giuliani is fair game I suppose and it's not inconceivable that he's a dirty old man but at least let's see the movie before passing judgement. It couldn't be that just because he's a Republican some of you want him to become damaged goods could it?

I think its more a case of karma. He's desperately trying to tarnish Biden with some very ropey and so far invisible evidence of wrong doing so for this to happen to him now is pretty funny.

Absolutely but have you seen the whole clip yet?
Nobody will as it will be edited to suit the movie's narrative.
    Well quite.
Just watched it - he looks like a dirty old man who thinks he's getting some because a young woman interviewer flattered him and touched his shirt. He's not just tucking his shirt in, I think he's "rearranging" himself.

The whole thing is a bit weird. I'm surprised they didn't let it run to get something more embarrassing.

Really? Think plenty more people know Borat than know Guiliani....
  • More embarrassing should be that he says the virus was manufactured in China and released.
  • There's the theory that it read American military virus. Apparently some time before the real start date of this there was some international, military event attended by several armies in the region of China it came from. Unusually American military turned up. Then they left and the virus took hold. The theory is America manufactured and released the virus to hit Chinese manufacturing thus making American manufacturing great again.

I don't hold with it but there's always people believing what they want to believe. Flat earthers I believe are particularly good fun debating with.

Except that he didn't say that. What China did was to brutally shut down their own country without shutting down international travel.

I think it's quite ambiguous but even if he was doing what people suspect, what's the problem? Apparently, in the modern World, everything is fine as long as it's consensual. I don't think people can pick and choose.

My only criticism of his actions were that it made him look silly, that it means he looks like an easy target for blackmail, and that he said China manufactured the virus.

I think it's also worth mentioning that it's the Republicans who are banking on / courting the evangelical / christian right of the US and their supposed family / moral values.

Then again, the evangelicals seem to be able to hold their nose and vote for Trump in spite of his misdemeanors so long as he gets rid of Obama-care, hammers migrants and gets right wingers on the SC.

giuliani has a track record of using fabricated/dubious stories, in some cases originated by hostile powers, to attack his master's political opponents and their families

by giuliani's standards, borat is a paragon of honest and open reporting, giuliani deserves far worse, he has enthusiastically connived in the attempted destruction of others' reputations and the continuing degradation of american politics and society, he's pure scum
