I've had the same delivery problems as you guys of late, but today experienced something completely new. Logged in to my account to see if my order had been dispatched and after I put in my username and password it proudly proclaimed "Hi Mark!".
My name isn't Mark.0 -
Delivery today failed to include any Haribo. Not impressed.0

I think DX are a big problem.
Had a delivery from them last week. Order placed on Monday, got an e-mail from DX on Wednesday to say items would be delivered that day 9to a business address), but weren't, not left next door, no card. They then delivered Thursday.
Ordered two tyres for the better half on Sunday evening, delivered this morning by Royal Mail.
Not checked the tyres box for Haribo yet though!0 -

I had exactly the same experience, email from Wiggle to say the item (a bike) had been dispatched together with a DX tracking link. The link page was most uninformative but a few hours later I received an email from DX giving the next day as the delivery date. I waited in all day and it didn't turn up. Sent several emails to DX without joy. The bike turned up the next day. Crap service.0 -
I ordered on Friday lunchtime, parcel delivered by Royal Mail on Monday morning, with Haribo.
Seems to be working for me! Lucky me!Cube - Peloton

I've had nothing but problems from DX as well. A parcel got lost in transit, but they consistently assured me that it had been delivered. Buyer was very firm that nothing came, and opened a dispute on eBay. The next few weeks are spent desperately trying to get through to DX's very poor telephone team. It took 4 days to get a call answered.
Luckily the thing got delivered the day before the dispute was due to automatically close and refund the buyer, which would have left me in a very bad situation.
Still no refund from Parcel Monkey who the shipping was booked through, in their terms they say the parcel was delivered, albeit 3.5 weeks late, and they don't refund if the parcel has been delivered.0 -

As much as DX does suck, it seems like you are being a bit harsh. Only one day late, and only a few business hours to reply to an email is not that crap.0 -
DX are defo a problem; last order arrived the day AFTER both DX & Wiggle had emailed/texted to confirm day of delivery(no Haribo either ), and the guy took a photo of our front door complete with wife as they've been told to do this to prove they've been. Do not approve of that!
The delivery before that arrived after 7pm(should be before 6pm) and the guy looked very stressed. Too many parcels not enough drivers.Road: Rose CDX-3000 Cannondale CAADX 105 2011

Not harsh at all when you compare them to their competitors. You don't send out an email saying that a parcel will be delivered that day and then not deliver it that day - that's rubbish service.
With the likes of DPD you can track exactly where your parcel is and find out which delivery number it is on the round.
Haribos duly included with the tyres btw!0 -
I would also add, in case Wiggle are reading this, that I've spent more money than I care to want to know I've spent with them over the years.... just lately since they switched to DX Secure, it's been unreliable compared to the likes of DPD and other couriers they have used in the past.0

I'm in London.
Ordered some tyres and brake pads on Saturday evening.
Delivered 8am Monday morning.0 -
I had my latest Wiggle order delivered by Royal Mail today - the order was placed on Sunday (two days ago) and I didn't pay for delivery so wasn't expecting it until around Friday of this week. Surprised and happy!
I'm pretty sure that my previous dozen or so Wiggle orders over the last couple of months were delivered by DPD and they were also very, very good - particularly the one hour delivery slot specified during the morning of the delivery. Have Wiggle ditched DPD?0 -

DX left my package in a 'safe place' I.E on my porch in full view of the world and it went missing...predictably.0
-
Never had any issues with delivery, did an emergency next day order for Saturday just gone, got an email an text saying it would be with me between 12:45 and 1:45, had it by 1PM.
I think its just an issue with DX from whats being said.0 -
Whilst DX are usually pretty quick at delivering and never had one go astray or left in a weird place they seem to be developing an annoying habit - 3 times now I've had the emails and texts to say they will deliver on a day only for it not to appear and the delivery made the next day.
Not that bothered as even the next day is still decent delivery speed but why send out all the messages only to fail meet them? I get stuff delivered to work but if I was waiting in at home for them I'd be seriously hacked off.0 -
Was looking at rear bike lights on the Wiggle website. The search results were set to ""best selling""
The first light was the £140 Garmin one.

How will DX cope as the orders increase? Black Friday...Xmas...New Year sales. Makes me think twice about using Wiggle. I hate poor delivery. Why tidy the house when you can clean your bike?0

I've had two 'near misses' with 'safe place'. On one occasion the package was left under my front door mat. It was as obvious as possible! On the other occasion the delivery driver knocked once on the door (didn't ring the bell) and immediately went to my neighbours house to deliver the parcel there as they were leaving their house.
When I'm expecting a delivery I have one of my household CCTV cameras looking out to the driveway and saw what he did. I ran down and called him back and he muttered words to the effect of 'you specified next door neighbour'. Yes, I did, but only if I wasn't in!0 -
Some of the courier delivery drivers are not the sharpest tool in the box, however the problem is exacerbated by the number of drops they are supposed to make in a day. Some will knock/ring once and if you don't open the door immediately, they're off to the neighbour or "safe" place or push the "tried to deliver card" though the letterbox and are off.
I noted on my last Wiggle order, last month, my parcel arrived by Royal Mail in a thin plastic bag with no additional packaging, which meant the manufacturer's box the saddle was in had been bashed about. All my previous deliveries have been those brown Wiggle cardboard boxes, looks like they are on a cost cutting exercise. Also a week after I purchased said saddle they dropped the price by £20. :x I couldn't send it back for a refund and re-order as in the interim my bike fell over and scuffed the saddles scuff guard,0 -
I'm a platinum customer with Wiggle, because they offer the best prices and service I know of. Their returns policy is great and they've price matched on multiple occasions for me too. With the exception of forgetting the odd bag of Haribo I think they are very good. They are my first port of call when looking at new gear.0

Why not order the £20 cheaper saddle and then return it for a refund against the initial (more expensive) order?

So am I, and they don't.
Such a high proportion of their prices are already discounted and that means your platinum discount doesn't apply, it only works on items that aren't discounted.0 -

I totally agree with you there

I had my latest Wiggle order delivered by DPD yesterday. Surprisingly I didn't get a text with a one hour delivery slot. Apart from that everything was fine. My large collection of Haribos came in handy for trick or treat kids knocking on the door yesterday evening!0

Had 5 trouble free years of service as a platinum customer until my girlfriend bought me a jersey for my birthday.
I returned it and ordered the next size up. A few days later I received an email saying that the jersey had been worn and as a result they would only refund me 70% of the price. I assured them that the jersey had only been tried for size and found to be too small, then returned, and I had already ordered the next size up.
Several emails went backwards and forwards with no backing down on their part. I was surprised and disappointed with their attitude and, as a result, will never use them again.
I have been using chain reaction for the last 6 months and have had excellent service on the 2 occasions I have had a slight problem with orders. You can also speak to them on the phone...0 -
not that I want to curse my own experiences from here on, but Ive always felt I had good service from Wiggle, and also a platinum customer fwiw, though havent really bought that much from them lately so hadnt noticed any recent changes, I think Ive only ever returned one top which was the wrong size, but it was hassle free.
on the whole I always found DPD to be a complete pain to deal with as a courier anyway, up there with City Link for their annoying habits, and their nearest depot is a such a long drive out to the middle of nowhere, its really no good emailing on the day of delivery Ive got this 1hr slot, as I cant just reschedule my work at the drop of a hat to fit around that, and the rescheduling thing seems a license for them to print money. if I can pick a slot with Tescos to deliver, why cant I pick the slot for the courier to deliver, why does the courier tell me when they deliver.
so Ive often used collect+ instead as its simpler for me, though some of the shops that do it really havent got to grips with it yet. (we used to be able to get stuff delivered to our secure work post room, but tphb noted the mail team were just processing peoples personal box deliveries all day,so clamped down on it)0
