Nobody thinks the GC guys will be too busy marking each other and a breakaway will win then?
Who are these quite a lot of people?
Not those on ptp as the picks for non GC guys totals a massive........ZERO!Contador is the Greatest0 -

Bookies have the GC guys as favourites as well - as well as Inrng's top tier and second tier picks. Inrng does talk about some breakaway guys as well though.
I thought about picking a breakaway man for PTP but there's a lot more potential names to choose from, whereas the GC picks are a lot more straightforwards - which is why most people have gone for them in PTP (and the bookies seem to agree).0 -
I reckon a lot of people under estimate the GC guys desire for greatness.
I think the glory associated with winning this stage far surpasses their desire for defensiveness especially off the back of decent places in the Tour.
I mean, if you know what's what about cycling, you mention Nieve and you know straight away he won THAT Giro stage. Contador won THAT Vuelta stage.Contador is the Greatest0 -
It'll be interesting to see how the unexpected guys on GC will fare. Maybe Roche or Dumoulin will just find the pace too hot on the biggest climb before the last summit. I can't see any GC guys attacking before the final accent, but I'd love to be wrong!0

No, becasue that isnt the way to do well at PTP...
I suspect it will be won by a lone remaining breakway or an irrelevant sprint from a GC bunch missing one or two smaller names who have hitherto been sitting prettyWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

The hype has been that Purito helped design the course. I'm hoping that my man uses his local knowledge, lights it up early and wins in the rain.0

Fair enough the ptp side makes sense; not having played it myself that tactic wasn't at the forefront of my mind.
But seriously, who thinks it?Contador is the Greatest0 -

I've only been to Andorra in the winter - the pictures say it's very pretty in the summer too.
Adding it to my "must visit" list!0 -
A rider from Colombia is the first to attack, followed by an Etixx, an AG2R, a Garmin and the KOM leader.
Amazing that Colombia still get an invite...it's been enough years to show they really don't have what it takes. Always disappointing in the mountains bar maybe one or two occasions.Contador is the Greatest0 -
i reckon a movistar rider will have a go on the second or third to last climb and it will show who the leader is. so quintana to go early and elt valverde try follow."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Froome's already had a crash... Collided with a wooden barrier at the side of the road. Looks OK though.0

It is beautiful, in parts: but I saw some of the most miserable, over-tanned, pinch-faced, fur-wearing, gold-dripping, vulgar Mercedes-driving people I've ever seen, there. Rivalled only by parts of Switzerland and Monaco.0 -
Froome is slowly making his way back, with no stress in his granny gear. No urgency from him. Two hairpins behind.Contador is the Greatest0

Tow, wonder for how long, whether it was as long as Nibali.

I thought that was him doubled over in pain, but he's just picking up his glasses. He doesn't look as though he's pedalling too smoothly though.
So everything is normal, eh!0
