Nibbles loses 10s and Pinot loses 15s on the other GCers0
-
Bauke Mollema's Zubeldia training is paying off, he's now up to 10th on GC without ever showing his face in the race0
-
My guess would be that we see a similar finish to stage 6. I think there'll be a group of about 15-20 who reach 1km to go together, look around at each other, someone launches one and just manages to hang on.
Pretty much what happened. Not that I blow my own trumpet.
Nice win by Vuillermoz.0 -
Can't help but think that Froome doesn't need to be sitting on the front leading it out for everyone... Although maybe he got spooked by Martin's crash.
Martin had the legs... I assumed he got boxed in and he just confirmed he did in an interview. Great win for Alexis though!0 -
OOooh, is that my first PTP winner?
Chapeau.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Think he wanted to be at the front going into the last corner and then just kept on going to force a split. Took some seconds from Nibali for his efforts, so not entirely a waste.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
On both Murs Dan Martin has looked the quickest up - just started a bit too late/too far back. Surely Cannondale are gonna suffer for that huge effort on tomorrows TTT0

Love it if TCS put 11secs into Sky in the TTT and put Sagan into yellow
They won't
But I'd love it“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
A shame for DM, but a nice win for AG2R though. I was surprised to see Nibali dropped.0

He's even got BikeRadar to have an advert that covers him up when anyone posts a picture of the top 10!0 -
I've also noticed the Yates twins are next to each other in GC.
Quite fitting that, they're 41st & 42nd0 -
Well that was totally underwhelming. Was hoping for something more like this:
Well done V though, very strong win.Froome=real racer

Oh Frenchie, I love you!Correlation is not causation.0 -

I'm sure Contador will show us what it means ( he is in the race isn't he, haven't seen him yet?)0 -
Who he?
keep up0 -
Seriously though, It's been a good first week and Froome has really tried to shake things up when he could rightly just ride the wheels. Apart from Nibali on the cobbles the other GC hopes have kept their noses firmly out of the wind.0

I'm amazed to see Sagan (who I consider just a green jersey specialist) second in the GC and above Contador, Nibali and Quintana. However, will it stay like that it the mountain stages !?! This years TDF has been crazy."The Prince of Wales is now the King of France" - Calton Kirby0 -
Given the week we've had its more surprising that Froome is first than Sagan is second.0

Sagan's there because he's finished with lead group nearly very day and has picked up time bonuses.

Astana & Tinkoff bikes taken for spot checks at finish. Utter chaos. Mick Rogers calmly pointing out he'd have to walk down Mur“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
Some photos from today's stage...
Why no GPS thingy under Froome's saddle?

I can't work out if contador is sandbagging. In most flat stages, he seems to be grimacing to hold his teammates wheels (or not). Yet today, looked a bit stronger on this mur, compared to the last mur where he lost time to froome.0

Tremendous!!! Well done i pick the wrong frenchman sadly.
Froome again showing himself as the only proper racer, real panache. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0 -

looking a tad tired isn't he... well we will see"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -

I'm with Frenchie on this one, it wasn't that interesting. It shows in the fact there's only been 6 pages on the thread0
