Can't Decide Which I Like Better

Thank you, I've enjoyed reading this ! It has brightened up my dull morning....0

if it's easier for you to tell yourself we're all bitter and jealous then that's fine.
Instead of arguing against what you think I wrote, or misrepresenting what I wrote, why don't you try to read, parse, and inwardly digest what I actually write?
I never wrote ALL are bitter and jealous, I wrote that certain people are prone to envy and jealousy.
I was actually referring to some rude, financially-challenged imbecile who thinks he is the arbiter of elegance, not you, but curiously you felt alluded.0 -

Why do you need to decide?
I think you're missing point. It's not about making a choice, it's a willy-waving thread.
Apparently money can't buy taste....
SRAM Red on the Cinelli? Red tyres and Bar tape?
The Pina isn't too bad though (except for the obvious stem issues).
Even after stating that the high stem is not a style choice but a medical necessity I get slammed for it. It must be awful to have no manners.
And who made you the arbiter of taste? Since when red clashes with more red?
Where is it written that an Italian frame must have an Italian groupset? Who is the snob here?
Why write more really, when I have a long middle finger on each hand for the perfect reply. Pictures available on request.
For someone that has to ask other people which one of their bikes they should like more, you seem to take great offence when someone gives an opinion.
Where did I ask such thing of anyone? "Can't decide which bike I like better" is a declarative statement not a question. Learn the difference, Einstein.
Your rude first post in reply to me, absent provocation, set the level of what I expect from you and what you can expect from me.
As I said before, with a character like yours and just an old Raleigh and an cheap Allez to ride, you should not frequent the forum where people show off bikes you can only dream off. It makes you mean and nasty and payback is a b-i-t-c-h.
As you have edited out your original post, then I can't quote from it...
Correct, I have an old Raleigh and a cheap Allez to ride, but that does not mean that I can notsay what I like and do not like. If you have a look back through some of my posts, then you will see that I have praised many peoples bikes. Even those that cost many times more than my own!
As for your "payback is a b-i-t-c-h" comment. Are you still in nappies?
This part of the forum is to show off bikes, if you don't like people to have a negative opinion on your bikes, then close the thread....0 -

Nah keep it open. Tiglath's meltdown is quite entertaining...0 -
Where is it written that an Italian frame must have an Italian groupset?
Nowhere, but it's like the sun rising in the morning, that isn't written down, it's just how it is.0 -

Actually I'd love a Bianchi...in celeste...but with Shimano Ultegra...I'll get my coat0 -

What couldn't we decide over then? A Cinelli something v's a something else? Do I have to submit balance sheets, accounts or the like before I comment?
It's surely pretty ridiculous to expect everyone to agree on all aspects of any build isn't it?
Nobody loves a child quite like its mother ehStill thinking of something clever to say!0 -

To be fair, Wiggo and Froome did alright on their Di2-equipped Dogmas / Graals.
Doesn't make it 'right' though and we all know that.0 -
I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the decals.0

One can express one's likes and dislikes without being rude, you can't apparently. You are not even aware of your ill-manners. Who raised you wolves?0 -

Sir, I expect nothing but civility, and then that you don't misquote me, if possible.0 -
I really want to see these bikes now. They must be truly shocking.0

I see why your little brain would find a thread distinguished by common bad manners thrilling. After all you spent much of the spring debating that the Earth is not flat and posting in leg-shaving threads. Smooth.0 -
Sorry, I can't see past those stems..
Forget about "see," you should look into them.
Or did you not post this in that intellectual thread titled, "Can you touch your toes"?
"I can touch my toes with a long stick if needs be [...] My flexibility is rubbish."
I can recommend a few good angled stems, stiffie, call me.0 -

You can have all the civility you want ... Tbf even if I'm not a fan of a particular bike, I'll not be too harsh. Having said that, you have to expect/take criticism if you post on here don't you?
The only thing I'm struggling with is not seeing what everyone is talking about .....Still thinking of something clever to say!0 -
Can you post a pic of the Cinelli, with the SRAM Red and Enves.
TIAI'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -

A patently untrue statement, though I thank you for yours.Tbf even if I'm not a fan of a particular bike, I'll not be too harsh. Having said that, you have to expect/take criticism if you post on here don't you?
Absolutely, but this still applies: You treat me well, I treat you better. You are rude unprovoked, I p-i-s-s all over you.The only thing I'm struggling with is not seeing what everyone is talking about ....
No need, I assure you my bikes are not half as repellent as the image of one of my tormentor-wannabees here, straining to bend to shave his legs.0 -

It must be Belgian chocolate melting down, because how sweet it is.
If you can't touch your toes, shaving your legs must be excruciating, is it not?
How often do you do it to keep silky?0 -
Serious appeal.
This is an excellent opportunity for champions of taste trapped in a cyclist body to let us have a Style Guide with details of which components should go with which frames, colors and all. You know the Little Richard in you wants to do it. Why are you missing it?
Go ahead knock yourselves out. Need not be limited to components, include socks, laces, handkerchiefs and all you need to made your cyclist as pretty as a bride's bouquet.
Why wait?0 -

I'm not sure that making fun of someone for shaving their legs makes sense on a cycling forum... where many other posters also shave their legs?0 -

Who is making fun? Where I come from there is a right of self-defence, which may involve returning fire.
And don't you folks keep saying that if one posts here asking for rain, one must also take the mud?
No double standard, please.0 -
The irony is, you didn't take offence at my comment (which wasn't actually offensive and began with an apology) until you had decided to pull your pics and go on the offensive with everyone else. You special individual.0

Wonders will never cease, and then it turned out I am not the only fragile ego...
Glass houses, pot kettle, goose gander and all that, dude. Not to mention low melting point.0 -
I saw the photos and understood the injury thing and hence the stems, so duely ignored the stems.
So, ignoring the stems, neither bike looked right at all to me. To me they both stood out like Ken Dodd in a fashion show. That said, maybe it would have been better to just post without the pics in the first place so the aesthetics weren't brought into the discussion, otherwise people are naturally going to comment on the looks of them.0 -

The plot thickens...
The Pina is a stock Dogma with black wheels.
Except for the raised stem, it looks pretty much like this one, with black and red bar tape and black hubs.

Kindly point out the Ken Dodd in it, so I can understand your aesthetic sense.0 -

Reeeeally? I honestly must have been so put off by the Cinelli underneath it, and that had a ridiculous dog's dinner of styles mixed up on it. Go on, put the photos back up, then I'll comment again. I know other people would absolutely love to see them.0
