Personally I have mine beside the fridge, eblow on the side of the fridge until I get up to speed then away, pretty easy really. Unlike when I tried to do it alongside a bench which just didn't work at all!
Handy if you need some "refreshment", mid-workout!

Can't be anywhere near metal with mine, get a huge static shock if I even touch it so I have to use mine next to a wooden shelf!0 -

haha yeah I have to say that does happen to me too! Although I've viewed it more as a curiosity than a problem.
My main problem now is having sorted out my riding position beside the fridge, next to the back porch to get some air in, my wife won't let me buy a stand fan to give some breeze while working out (apparently it would just stand around looking ugly (did she mean me or the fan?)) 0 -
